This presentation will show you how Voice Proctor addresses the two main challenges

regarding exam integrity in the online assessment environment

1. Ensuring a student’s presence during an online exam

2. Ensuring that the student is not receiving outside help during the exam

Page 3: Voice Proctor Demo

Voice Proctor ensures that the student is present at the start of every exam

When a student logs in to Voice Proctor they are shown a list of available exams as well as

scheduled exam (this can be customized with integration with a school’s LMS)

Page 4: Voice Proctor Demo

Before an exam begins the student is prompted to enter a phone

number at which the Voice Proctor phone system will call them

The phone system will instruct the student to enter a randomly generated numeric code in to their computer. This ensures that the student on the phone is the same student in front of the computer.

The student is then instructed to read a passage while being recorded over the phone. This recording will be compared to a voice print that was submitted by the student when they initially registered for the Voice Proctor system

Voice Proctor can randomly call students during an exam and ask them to verbally explain/justify a previously submitted answer. If a student has not don the work they will not be able to verbally answer the question.

Since these call are random and the student never knows when they are coming, the entire exam is taken in a proctored environment. (It is up to the school to decide how frequent these call will occur.)

The student confirms their answer before submitting it. They do not know that this particular question will be

proctored
