Comparative: Use an adjective to compare two or more things

- Add “er” to the end of the adjective if it has one syallable:

Chris is taller than John.

- Add “ier” to the end of the adjective if it has one syllable and ends in “y”:

Jamie is happier than Steve.

- Add “more” or “less” before the adjective if it has two or more syllables and doesn’t end in “y”:

Superlative: When something is unique because it is the most or least of a particular quantity. Add “est” to the adjective if it is short. Say “most” or “least” before the adjective if it is long. Before all superlative adjectives, we say “the” because a superlative describes something unique.
