HISTORY

• Vnukovo International is Moscow’s longest-serving airport. Inaugurated on July 2, 1941. The Airport will celebrate its seventy-fifth anniversary in 2016

• Vnukovo has for decades welcomed flights carrying the nation’s top political elite, as well as visiting heads of state and governments

• 2004-2005 – the implementation of the vast and ambitious Airport Master Plan commenced. 2004 - the new International Terminal B inaugurated

• 2009 – renovation of the Airport’s RWY2 completed, enabling ICAO Cat II operations

• 2009 – the new Mail & Cargo Terminal with the total floor space of 56800 sq. m commissioned

• 2010 - the new passenger Terminal A’s Stage One measuring 270000 sq. m in floor space launched

• 2012 terminal A’s Launch Stage Two was commissioned

LOCATION

• The Airport lies in Moscow’s South-West which translates into tangible flight time and fuel cost savings for airlines operating services to/from Europe

• The Airport’s elevation of 205 m above sea level is the highest among Moscow’s three major air gateways which gives it indisputable edge when operating in adverse weather conditions such as dense fogs.

• VKO is integrated into the mass transit grid of Moscow with a total of three major highways and a non-stop rail link that originates at Kievsky Train Station.

• VKO is the nearest airport to the Moscow subway system

WITH REDUCED MOBILITY • The smooth floor concept

• A dedicated PRM Assistance Team has been set up and working 24/7 at the Airport

• Courtesy wheelchairs for in-terminal movements and transfers available on request

• For the visually-challenged, all directional signage is in white script against navy-blue background, further enhanced by ICAO-compliant pictograms

• Bright-yellow floor decals by way of additional directional signage

• A number of ambulifts and enhanced ambulances operate as part of the service

• Advanced hearing aid and sound enhancing equipment for the hearing-impaired /hearing aid-wearing air travelers

• Interactive touch-screen terminals that afford quick and easy access to flight schedules/timetable and to the airport map

• Real-time video feeds of baggage unloading onto conveyor belts in Terminal A displayed on the FIDS screens for the benefit of passengers awaiting their baggage

EXECUTIVE AVIATION FBO

• One of the largest business aviation hubs in Europe

• Around 3200 flights and up to 11

thousand passengers welcomed monthly

• Domestic passenger terminal with the total floor space of 480 sq. m, and an international terminal offering a 7000-sq.m of total floor space

• Passenger throughput capacity is 60 per hour for the International Terminal, and a further 40 air travelers an hour that can be welcomed at its domestic facility

• The FBO offers ample hangarage for controlled-climate storage and maintenance of executive aircraft.
