You enter Maggie Choo�s through a discreet hole in the wall anddescend down a steep wooden staircase to a Chinese Noodle Housestraight out of old Shanghai. Brilliant umbrellas decorate theceiling and birds chatter in loftily perched birdcages. An iguanaseems oblivious to his surroundings as he strikes a pose straddlinga branch in his own small kingdom.

All the while a steaming kitchen is churning out a stream of hastilyprepared soups and noodle dishes for customers perched on stoolsaround small intimate table settings. But as the overhead fanswhirl and you study the old portraits that adorn the tiled walls,you realise there is more to be seen.

Gaze past the hubbub around the kitchen and you can see a heavydouble wooden door that leads to another world. Stepping through,you enter a lavishly decorated cocktail lounge resplendent withplush sofa seating and awash with vibrant mood lighting.

Queen Victoria busts are all around, a sign advertises the East IndiaCompany Siam 1847, artworks of sea battles raging with cannonsablaze decorate the walls and piano sounds waft gently around you.

Cellar doors provide access to intimate refuges that would be perfect for anillicit meet. In fact the entire cocktail bar area has the feel of an illegal havenfrom prohibition, access gained through an innocent noodle shop that acts as adeceptive front.

The brains behind the operation is Western Australian owner Ashley Sutton.Ashley conceived the entire idea and spent two years converting an unused areain the basement of the Hotel Novotel Bangkok Fenix Silom on Silom Road inBangkok. He is also responsible for four other fun concepts within the city: IronFairies, Clouds, Fat Gut�z and Mr. Jones� Orphanage. All are distinctly uniqueand all provide a sense of childhood fantasy mixed with adult tastes.

Maggie Choo�s is just three months old and extremely popular, especially atweekends. Get there early for a night of noodles, swish cocktails and intrigue.

The 25 year old fashiondesigner has remained trueto her beliefs with bothranges however,continuing to providegreat looking clothesthat are easy to wearand comfortable.

Monrissa�s belief is that�the most beautifulwoman is the one whofeels comfortable withbeing herself�.

Her designs havetherefore always beenelegantly styled whilebeing soft and featherylight, thereby creating thefeel of �skin on skin�.

The idea of creating twodifferent labels was to providewomen with easy to wearfashion items during the day(Skin on Skin) while alsogiving them the opportunityto dress for opulent cocktailparties at night with elegantdresses that are also verydistinctive(Monrissa Couture).

Monrissa was educated in theUnited Kingdom, gaining aBachelors Degree in MediaArts from Royal Holloway,University of London, and aMasters Degree in Image andCommunications fromGoldsmith, University of London.

She specialised in film, filmcriticism, feminist psychology andthe image of women in the media.

This, along with interests in design,art and fashion, led her to make theforay into the fashion industry.

Skills in tailoring that were passedon from her grandmother via hermother also came in handy.

Enter The WraithRolls Royce Introduces Their Most Powerful Motor Car at Okura Prestige in Bangkok

The timely introduction of the new two seater coupecomes as Rolls Royce celebrates the first anniversaryof their showroom in Rama Three, opened in July2012 by Millionaire Auto Sales and Services.

Marking a departure from recent models, the Wraithis a bold new design that features two doors, astreamlined fastback body and Jubilee Silver andDiamond Black trim.

The interior is finished in the softest Phantom gradeleathers and expanses of wood panelling. The opengrain wood treatment is known as Canadel Panelling,and is named after a famous cove in the South ofFrance, where Sir Henry Royce and his design and

engineering teams spent their winters.

The performance is enhanced by a wide rear track, ashorter wheelbase and lower roof height.

Power is generated through a beefy V8 engine coupled toan eight speed automatic transmission. The Wraith canachieve acceleration of 0 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds.

Body roll has also been minimised by tuning thesuspension. Steering is a spirited sensation, with aheavier touch at high speeds transforming to lightertouches in low speed conditions.
