The America of yesterday was an exam-
ple of what could happen when a country
acknowledges and trusts in God. Our forefa-
thers left England to find a place where they
could worship God freely. The Declaration of
Independence acknowledged God as the
creator. America’s motto became “In God
We Trust,” which is declared on our money
today. “One Nation Under God” was added
to the Pledge of Allegiance in 1954. Last,
but not least, there was prayer in the
schools.
It is clear to me that America was a
country that was willing to acknowledge and
truly believed in God. As a result of this ac-
knowledgement, this country was one of the
richest, most popular, and greatest leader
amongst all nations. People from all over
the world wanted to come here because of
its growth and freedoms.
In my view, America has changed. This
country has succumbed to the wishes and
court cases of those who do not believe in
God. America has succumbed to a certain
fraction of people who want no mention of
God anywhere, no religious influence in gov-
ernment decision making, and no symbol-
ism of religion at all in society.
We now have Separation of Church and
State, and prayer was removed from schools
(which have become morally depraved). We
had an individual sue because she did not
want her children to pray in schools. There
was an individual who sued to remove a line
from the Pledge of Allegiance because it
mentioned God and he did not want his
child to say, “One nation under God“. Lastly,
the Ten Commandments were removed from
courthouses. What’s next?
Basically, America has become a country
where God is not mentioned to please those
who do not believe in God. Accordingly, America
has headed down the road of destruction. We
are in a war that we cannot win and should not
have started. Crime is at an all-time high with
random shooting and killing of people of all
ages. Americans are hated all over the world.
We are financially strapped with trillions of dol-
lars in debt. I believe this is because God is not
acknowledged as the sovereign God of Amer-
ica, as intended by our forefathers.
God is our life and without Him we are lost.
There is absolutely nothing we can do without
Him in our lives. Trying to live life without God
will eventually result in damnation. Every deci-
sion, and every problem must be placed at the
feet of God in prayer. It shows pure ignorance
and arrogance of man to think they can live life
ignoring Him. He is the director and we are the
actors in this play called life. Getting rid of God
is like having a ship without a sail, or having the
clay without the potter.
We must begin again to trust in God, ac-
knowledge Him, and allow God to lead us like
our forefathers did in the America of yesterday.

Are you a coffee drinker? If you are, I have a product that is great tasting and healthy!
It is called Organo Gold Coffee. You may say coffee is coffee, they all have caffeine
and taste the same. Not so, Organo Gold Coffee has an ingredient called ganoderma.
It is a mushroom grown in China used to treat many illnesses over there. The gano-
derma infused with the coffee has proven to be a healthy and great tasting beverage.
Many of my customers, including my husband, have talked about the increased en-
ergy they have after drinking the Organo Gold Coffee. Guess what? No caffeine in this
coffee!
If you are interested in purchasing some great tasting, healthy coffee, please go to
my website: www.aalgere.organogold.com/r/US
You may order as much coffee, hot chocolate, or green tea as you want. If you
would like to know more about ganoderma, take a look at the following website:

Happy, healthy, coffee drinking to you!
ORGANO GOLD COFFEE—HEALTHY COFFEE
Years of tears and emotional distance separated us.
But now, I remember only your beautiful smile and your
husky laugh!
Oh! I would do anything to hear your voice again and the
encouragement you gave me.
For it is because of you that I am who I am today!
The weekly calls and visits are sorely missed.
And now, I hear your voice, and see your face in my heart and mind
only!
The last few years were beautiful as we mended our relationship.
Then suddenly—you were taken away from me!!
Those difficult years have become insignificant to me—I remember
only the good, and hope that I continue to make you proud of me!
Although, you are physically gone, I know that you are guiding me
each and every day.
And I thank God that He did not take you home without giving us
the opportunity to bond and mend our love!

Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank you right now
for all you have done in
our lives! Thank you,
most of all for your Dear
Son, Jesus the Christ,
who sacrificed His life
so we can live. In this
season of Lent, Father,
help us to remember
how committed Jesus
was to fulfilling his as-
signment. Jesus was
faithful unto death and
suffered so that we may
be forgiven of our sins.
In 1 Peter: 1, it says,
“Therefore, since Christ
suffered in His body,
arm yourselves also
with the same attitude,
because he who has
suffered in his body is
done with sin.” Help us
Father to therefore put
away and stop indulg-
ing in things we should
not. Help us Father to
have the attitude of
Christ. Help us to be
focused and put our
hands on the plow and
never look back at the
life we used to live.
May we pick up our
cross as Jesus did
and answer the call to
our assignment.
Heavenly Father, help
us to remember that
after the crucifixion,
Jesus rose with all
power and we are to
share in this victory.
We thank you Father
for being the author
and finisher of our
faith. We love you! In
Jesus name, we ask
all these things,
Amen!

A little girl was talking to her teacher about
whales.
The teacher said it was physically impossible for a
whale to swallow a human because even though
they were a very large mammal their throat was
very small.
The little girl stated that Jonah was swallowed by a
whale.
The teacher reiterated that a whale could not
swallow a human; it was impossible.
The little girl said, "When I get to heaven I will
ask Jonah."
The teacher asked, "What if Jonah went to hell?"
The little girl replied, 'Then you ask him."

Q: I have a friend who believes I am not doing a good job raising my chil-
dren. How can I express to her how that bothers me without causing any
problems in our relationship?
A: First, you must evaluate yourself carefully to make sure that
your immediate response will not be a defensive one. Being a mother is-
n't easy; in fact, it is one of the most challenging roles in the
earth. However, we can choose to raise our children on our own and our
way or we can trust God's way and train them in the way that they should
go as stated in Proverbs 22:6. Many times, there is always room for im-
provement. We are not perfect, yet we should always strive for perfec-
tion. As for your friend, explain to her how you feel and if you can honestly
say she doesn't have warranted reasons for expressing her concerns then
gentle advise her to stay out of this matter. She should understand since
she is your friend. As you may know, some people tend to find it easy to give advice, but find it hard to accept it - walk in love and be kind.

Addictions are prevalent in many
people’s lives. Some people have
been addicted to alcohol, beer, and
drugs for many, many years. It is
well-known that addictions create
health problems, mental dam-
age, and relationship issues with
those who are involved with
these people. In this issue, we
will discuss alcoholism (beer and
liquor).
Isaiah 5:11 states, “Woe to
those who rise early in the morn-
ing, that they may run after
strong drink, who tarry late into
the evening as wine inflames
them!” Do you know anyone that
starts off early in the morning (8 or
9 am) with alcohol or a beer? Unfor-
tunately, these addicts are in some
of our homes and families.
Have you spoken to them about
their problem and how it affects you
and the other family members?
Have you heard the response that
the problem only affects them and
no one else? Have you attended
counseling for the “addict’s prob-
lem,” yet he/she refuses to go? Is
the problem habitual?.
Has the problem gone on for years
and years? Have the other family
members started to tire of it and
find other ways to cope? Do you
know of family members who ignore
the problem and act as if it does not
exist? Is that family member inca-
pacitated for hours on end? Does
he/she wait until the family is gone
to start binge drinking?
Have you ever wondered what you will
find when you return home? Is he/she
saying or doing things that they claim
later that they did not do?
If you have experienced these prob-
lems, please know that you are not
alone! Alcoholism, whether it is beer or
alcohol is the result of a demonic
spirit. Proverbs 20:1 states, Wine is a
mocker and beer a brawler;
whoever is led astray by them is not
wise.
Alcohol (beer) impedes the thinking
of anyone who indulges in it. Have you
met anyone who says they can hold
their drinking? They are a liar! Once
the alcohol flows through a person’s
blood stream, their thinking and ac-
tions are uncontrollable. Did you know
that many alcoholics have been so-
cially acclimated by a blood relative
that was either an alcoholic or a prob-
lem drinker?
The spirit of alcohol have enveloped
your loved one. He/she must FIGHT
and you must FIGHT with prayers for
your loved one.
Do not become a crutch or an enabler.
Let them feel the consequences of
their actions. If this is a spouse, do not
allow you or your children to be af-
fected by the
addict’s be-
havior. Alco-
holism is a
stronghold
that not only
captivates the
individual, but
it also tries to
hold the fam-
ily or other
loved ones
captive.
Consequently, there are success sto-
ries of many people who have “kicked
the bottle.” They often say that they
“are taking it one day at a time.” I am
saying this to say, that if a person truly
wants to stop and make changes in
their life, they will do it. It is a proven
fact! Therefore, if your loved one con-
tinues, he/she does not want to stop!
That individual must want to fight and
make changes for themselves. It is
important that he/she be willing to
allow God to work the MIRACLE that
only HE can do!
Then you must make some positive
changes in your life. Do not allow the
addict to ruin your life with their prob-
lems.
Protect you and yours!

A couple of days ago, I found
myself watching the House of
Payne, written and produced by
no other than, Tyler Perry. In this
episode, the young son went off
to college and was attempting to
join a sorority.
Well, things did not go as ex-
pected, in fact, he was about to
be suspended. After a tongue-
lashing from the father, the
young man was told to fix the
problem he caused.
The young man told the truth,
and ultimately was despised by
his friends and harassed by the
people he ―ratted on.
As a result, he decided that he
would drop out of his first year in
college. Well, dad informed him
that since he was a man that
men worked and provided for
things. He let him know that he
needed the money for water bill,
light, and other items by certain
dates in the month.
Needless to say, I was stunned.
This is not something that we
see today.

Today, parents are still treating grown
adults like they are still children.
Further, these grown adults are still
acting like children by continuing to
call dad and mom whenever they are
in a bind. To add to this, the parents
are bailing these adults out because
they are their children. The cycle
continues to repeat and now, we
have a generation of children way up
into their 30’s and more still begging
and asking for help. What does this
teach them? When do parents let go?
When do children grow up?
This episode of the House of Payne
was a true example of parenthood, at
its best. A father must teach a young
boy to be a man, as a mother
teaches her young daughter to be a
woman. Tough love brings about
strong students who learn to make
decisions and attack challenges on
their own. Now, I am not saying that a
parent should not provide advice,
and help, especially when an adult
child is attempting to help him or
herself. If the individual (s) are in
school and working towards a goal, I
do not have a problem with that.
But what is the limit here?
What concerns me is when these
adult children are disrespectful,
know everything, and refuse to lis-
ten to the advice of their parents. I
have a problem with adult children
not taking on the responsibility of
their financial obligations. I also
have a problem with parents still
paying obligations for adult children
who are in their 30’s and above.
When does it stop? When are the
apron strings cut? Is it out of guilt?
Is it for revenge? Why would this
continue? How does this teach re-
sponsibility and independence?
Proverbs 22:6 states, “Train up a
child in the way he should go: and
when he is old, he will not depart
from it.” This means that we should
teach our children the foundation of
values, morals, the laws of right and
wrong, etc. When they are older they
will remember.
Parents must let go and give their
children to God!
In Christ’s Name!

Jeffrey Nuance grew up in an elite neighborhood with two loving parents. His mother was a psychiatrist
and his dad was an emergency room doctor. Jeffrey’s childhood was uneventful; his parents were devout
Christians who attended their Catholic church faithfully. He attended services often with his parents however;
he never truly committed himself to Christ.
When Jeffrey turned 18, he went off to college and got involved with a group of young men who partici-
pated in wild parties and the use of multiple drugs. He spent much of his day drunk and high. Needless to say,
he almost never attended class. Eventually, the college expelled Jeffrey. As a result, he was embarrassed and
did not have anywhere to go. Jeffrey refused to go home because he knew that his parents would be disap-
pointed. Instead, Jeffrey took to the streets. He lived in old abandoned houses and stole from stores for food,
drugs and alcohol.
On this particular day, Jeffrey was out of drugs and having serious withdrawals. He entered the KC Foods
Store at 11:28pm. He told the cashier to give him all of the money in the register. The young employee refused
and instead, pulled a gun hidden under the counter. When Jeffrey saw the gun instead of retreating—he
“sucker punched” the employee—grabbed the gun and fired, instantly, killing the employee. Consequently,
Jeffrey was unaware that the employee had tripped a silent alarm, which contacted the police. He reached over,
grabbed the money from the register and headed for the door. Jeffrey made it as far as the corner as police cars
surrounded him.

He was caught with the stolen cash and the employee’s blood all over his shirt. The police placed him in the
police car while they entered KC Foods. After discovering the dead clerk and missing money—Jeffrey was ar-
rested and taken to jail. While awaiting trial, Jeffrey battled the effects of his drug and alcohol abuse. He was
placed under house arrest and allowed to enter the Monroe Drug Rehabilitation Center to help with the addic-
tion and withdrawals. He remained in the center until his trial and was able to stand trial drug-free.
Consequently, the district attorney charged Jeffrey with the death of the clerk. His prints were found on the
gun, cash register and other areas in the store. Even though his parents hired the best lawyer, Jeffrey was sen-
tenced to death. The appeals process began on Jeffrey’s behalf, shortly after the sentencing.
It was during this time that Jeffrey began to read his Bible and pray.
He had not read or prayed in many years. Jeffrey felt inclined to read because he felt that God was speaking
to Him and beckoning him to turn his life over to Him. As a result of being on death row—he was not
allowed to interact with the other prisoners. However, on Tuesday of each week, Father Thomas from Holy
Missionary Catholic Church came to death row to counsel with the inmates. Jeffrey at first, shunned any visi-
tor, but God softened his heart and he began to welcome Father Thomas. He allowed Father Thomas to speak
with him about the Bible and asked him many questions about forgiveness and his salvation. Finally, during
one of Father Thomas’ visits Jeffrey repented of his sins and accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior.
Jeffrey prayed everyday asking God to have His way in His life—even if it meant death. Jeffrey knew that
God had forgiven him and he was willing to suffer the consequences for his actions.

Now that all of the impor-
tant Judgment day dates
have passed, “No one knows
the day nor the hour when
Christ returns.” This, I be-
lieve, stands true today. In-
stead of worrying about the
date, we should focus on
whether or not we are pre-
pared for the return. Too
many of us must make
changes that will put us in a
position to be worthy of
Christ’s return. Are we ready?
Have we repented and asked
for God’s mercy for the sins
we have committed?
Will you be one of those
staying behind after the Rap-
ture? Have you accepted
Christ? This should be our
concern, instead of the date.
The date should be the least
of your worries. If God
wanted us to know the date,
he would have put it in the
Bible with everything else He
placed in there for us to live
by. There are some things
God did not want us to know.
Obviously, the date of Jesus’
return is one of them. There
are people predicting the date
and as a result, people have
been selling their possessions.
When the predicted date does
not materialize, those people
are left with nothing. One
organization, which will re-
main nameless in this news-
letter, has an estimated worth
of $18,000,000.00. If the or-
ganization is predicting the
end of the world, why would
they need millions of dollars?
"Study to shew (show) thy-
self (yourself) approved unto
God, a workman that needeth
not to be ashamed, rightly
dividing the word of truth"
2nd Timothy 2:15 - KJV.
This verse simply means that
we should read and study the
Bible. This process will allow
us to not be fooled by the
wiles of the devil. Reading for
yourself will allow God to
help you to understand and
act upon His directions and
lessons in His Word. Many
people attend church and
wait for the preacher to di-
vulge the Word
Unfortunately, it is impor-
tant that you read the Word
for yourself. Whether you
read or don’t read for your-
self, you are held account-
able. The excuse of not know-
ing about the Word will not
be justifiable for God. I am
saying all of this to say that if
you read the Word, you will
know that not even Jesus
knows the date of His return.
So, lets focus on what we do
know. We know that Jesus
will return. We know God’s
expectations for our lives
based upon Bible principles.
We must live by those princi-
ples and be ready for when-
ever Jesus will return!

James 5:14 — “Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of
the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the
name of the Lord.”

Who are you? How would you answer that question if it were asked of you? Are
you are a Christian or an unbeliever?
Some Christians can not answer that question without hesitating, others will have
to think before they answer the question, or say HUH?! The heathens will answer
quickly by telling you their occupation, “I am a doctor, truck driver, lawyer,
waiter, computer consultant, electrician, fisherman, teacher, etc.” Or perhaps,
they will tell you what they like to do, or they will tell you their names. The rea-
son they would answer this question like that is because they do not know who
they are or who they belong to.
Well, in order to know who you are and whom you belong to, you have to be a
born again Christian. In addition to that, you must be a member of a Bible based
church, not where the leader is a life coach or false prophet. If he or she is not
preaching what the Bible says, you will not know who you are, or whom you be-
long to.
In my case, before I became a born again Christian, I was eager to hear what
other heathens would try to tell me about who I am. Then, I would say to myself
that is not who I am. I realized they did not know who they were, so how could
they tell me who I was. I needed to know because I felt incomplete, confused, out
of place, and had a feeling of not belonging to anyone. I desperately needed to
know who I was. I was looking for answers from heathens, isn’t that something?
After I was born again, I did not comprehend the covenant that I made with God
until I learned more about the Bible and built a relationship with the Him. I was
elated to learn who I am and who I belong to for eternity, and He loves me no
matter what. He has a purpose and a plan for my life and He prays for me.
God says in His Word that I am fearfully and wonderfully made, I am a child of
the Most High, a child of the royal priesthood, above only and not beneath, light
of the world, salt of the earth, and I am also the head and not the tail. That is who
you are as a born again Christian.
Coming out of darkness and into the marvelous light is GREAT!! It gives me joy,
peace and comfort knowing that I belong to the King of Glory (GOD.) Thank you
Jesus! Who are you? Now, can you answer that question without hesitation?

Another Mother's Day is here,
Bringing joy and pleasures new,
On this special day, Mother dear,
I want to remember you
I cannot give you costly gifts,
And I've told you this before,
No matter what I give to you,
You give back much, much more
I'm giving you a pure, sweet rose,
Gathered in the early morn,
This rose you planted in my heart,
The day that I was born
In kindly, loving thoughts of you,
And with the faith you still impart,
The rose I give to you today,
Is the love that's in my heart .

A POEM FOR THE GRIEVING...
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn's rain. When you awaken in the morning's
hush, I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die...

After many years of appeals, the judge commuted Jeffrey’s sentence to 15 years to life with possibility of parole.
The judge took into account Jeffrey’s drug and alcohol problem. As a result, of this miracle, Jeffrey was taken off
death row and placed with the prison population. Immediately, Jeffrey began to take classes in theology and to
counsel other inmates. He became very famous among the prisoners and was released from prison after 12 years
for good behavior.
Upon his release Jeffrey joined the seminary and became a priest. He began working at the Monroe Drug Reha-
bilitation Center counseling young people who had become addicted to drugs and alcohol. Jeffrey made a com-
mitment upon leaving prison to give 50% of his pay every month to the family of the clerk he killed for the rest of
his life. Although, he knew that this could not bring the clerk back – it was his way of accepting responsibility for
his actions.
Jeffrey wanted his life to be a testimony to show that everyone makes mistakes, yet it is never too late to turn
your life around and begin anew.

you believe that Jesus is
the Son of God who died on
the cross for you. It is as
simple as that! God hears
you and God Saves you! If
you have not made that
decision today, please
make it soon. Tomorrow is
not promised to you and
waiting until later, may be
too late! Eternity is too long
to be without God!
Scriptures for Salvation
Romans 3:23 For all have
sinned, and come short of
the glory of God;
Romans 6:23 For the
wages of sin is death; but
the gift of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ our
Lord.
God desires for all of us to
be saved. It is not His desire
that any should perish. Nev-
ertheless, He also gave us
free will. Our Father desires
us to make the decision to
follow Him.
Have you made that deci-
sion? When you take your
last breath where will you
spend eternity? Will it be
Heaven or hell? The end
result will be based upon
the choice you made!
It is my hope that you
choose to follow God. If you
make that choice today, you
have to acknowledge that
you are a sinner. Then you
must repent of your sins.
You must acknowledge that
John 1:12 But as many as
received Him, to them gave
He power to become the
sons of God, even to them
that believe on His name.
Revelation 3:20 Behold, I
stand at the door, and knock:
if any man hear My voice,
and open the door, I will
come in to him, and will sup
with him, and he with Me.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our
sins, He is faithful and just to
forgive us our sins, and to
cleanse us from all unrighte-
ousness.
John 3:16 For God so loved
the world that he gave His
one and only Son, that who-
ever believes in Him shall not
perish but have eternal life.
