Overview

Virtualize was formed in 2008 as an entrepreneurial black owned company focused on supplying specialised computer products and services to government and selected corporate customers. The original focus was on Vmware Virtualization products and services, hence the name

of the company. Some large Virtualization projects were completed successfully,

including a hardware consolidation project for the Department of Public Works in

Polokwane based on HP hardware platforms.

In 2011 Virtualize became a 100% black female owned company. The new shareholder

decided to extend the company's scope by adding the supply of hardware products to the

company's product portfolio. Virtualize has since reached agreement to be included as a

sub-contractor on Sita contract 285/1 for the supply of office based computer products to

government for seven of the provinces.

Ownership and Management

Virtualize is 100% owned by

Ms. Zanele Gunguluza, who is also the chair person of the company.

Ms. Gunguluza has completed a Small Business leadership

course at the University of South Africa after studying towards a

B Comm degree at Fort Hare University.

She has gained extensive experience in the retail market as a dealer principal for Spar. During

her involvement as a Spar Dealer she attended various Spar sponsored management courses

in the United Kingdom.

She subsequently broadened her business experience by being involved as shareholder and

director in a number of companies.

Her love for business coupled with her skill and awareness lead to her election to the executive of the Provincial Small Business Council in the Eastern Cape, where she has served as a Council Member for a number of years.

The Operations Manager of Virtualize,

Mr. Lourens Oosthuizen, has more than

15 years' worth of experience in the IT

industry. He has extensive knowledge of

Company Operat ions and Qual i ty

Management systems and therefore

oversees the Technical and Logistical

Services in Virtualize. Mr. Oosthuizen is

also a Director of Virtualize.

Ms. Khosi Ngcobo is the Marketing

Manager for Virtualize, adding experience

in the sales and marketing side to the

Virtualize team.

Virtualize is a Enterprise Partner and provides the whole range of

software products and services, as well as the associated services to migrate existing

legacy environments to Virtual consolidated hardware environments. This provides the

benefits that customers can have a smaller number of more reliable servers to run

applications that previously would have required a larger number of servers. This leads to

higher reliability and less costly management environments.

Virtualize provides and support management software.

provides systems management, security management, service management, process

management and asset management solutions to organizations for their Information

Technology Assets.

Servers from IBM and HP and storage solutions

from EMC are provided.

Virtualize provides solutions from all leading

manufacturers of personal computing products,

including Lenovo, HP, Dell, Proline and Mecer.

Display solutions from Samsung, LG and

Panasonic are also provided.

Solutions from HP, Lexmark and Samsung are

provided.

Panasonic and Epson Products are provided.

Virtualize's head office is situated in Centurion, while Virtualize also has

presentation in Polokwane, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth and Durban.
