How Much Homework Is Expected?

30 minutes of homework for each of the following subject areas each week: • English (includes the use of Reading Plus) • Mathematics• Languages (includes the use of Language Perfect)

It is also expected that students complete 15-20 minutes of independent reading 5 nights of the week.

• Any device that may connect to or have similar functionality to a mobile phone such as smartwatches.

• Phones must be switched off and secured in their locker during the school day.

• A ‘school day’ is defined as from the time the student arrives at school until the time they leave for the day.

• The school does not accept responsibility for loss or damage

Parents are to inform the Administration office if they are collecting their child during the school day.

Students are not to call Parents/Carers to be picked up from school. They must see someone in the House Office or Administration Office.

Sick at home: if your child is unwell and cannot attend school please…….

Telephone the school orLog-on to Compass and update the attendance.

Sick at school: Students are to report to the office and they will be attended to by first aid staff. If required, parents will be telephoned to collect their child.

and at recess, or you can buy direct from the canteen. EFTPOS is available.

Buses• Parents will need to contact the appropriate

bus company for details of pickup points and routes. Make sure you have your Myki card.

Tips for students:• Be open to making new friends • Get involved in the many extra-

curricular programs and opportunities offered.

• Make a good first impression • Try your best in class.• Be organised

• Pack the bag the night before• Develop a study routine at home

• Never be afraid to ask for help• Enjoy it! Making new friends and learning new things is

exciting.
