EIFFEL TOWER // FRANCEThe renovation of the first level of the “iron lady” was completed in the autumn of 2014. The 4,500 m2 design-build operation provided for reconstruction of the Eiffel and Ferrié pavilions and the three lift access structures as well as refurbishment of the restaurant facades. A partly transparent floor was installed and equipped with a glass railing to enable visitors to “experience the sensation of stepping into the void”.

SEA HSL // FRANCE COSEA, the construction joint venture led by VINCI Construction, completed the infrastructure work on the South Europe Atlantic high-speed line. The first trains will begin operating at 320 km/hour in the summer of 2017.

KARLIN HALL II OFFICES // CZECH REPUBLICIn Prague, Průmstav handed over the 15,000 m2, eight-level building with a multi-purpose auditorium.
RESIDENTIAL AND SHOPPING COMPLEX // MALAYSIA In Kota Kinabalu in northern Borneo, VINCI Construction Grands Projets is building a 125,000 m2 complex with a 20,000 m2 shopping centre and three 20-storey residential towers.
THE PENINSULA HOTEL PARIS // FRANCE VINCI Construction France restructured and converted the Paris luxury hotel as general contractor.
“A L’ABRI DU VENT” RESIDENCE // FRANCEIn Avignon, VINCI Construction started construction of the first Primméa residential building. The innovative, comprehensive and integrated offering covers high-quality housing at very competitive prices, ideal for first-time buyers. In 2015, 18 projects with 900 units are planned, and the number will increase to 1,200 in 2016.

DEMAND FOR PUBLIC FACILITIESVINCI Construction designs and builds highly complex infrastructure of all types to accommodate urban growth and the trend towards relative uniformity of lifestyles – shopping centres, schools and universities, cultural and heritage buildings, stadiums and sports facilities, hospitals and industrial and service sector facilities.
UJCM KRAKÓW PROKOCIM HOSPITAL // POLAND Warbud will build a teaching hospital in Krakow comprising eight 8-storey functional buildings with a total floor area of 108,000 m2. The turnkey hospital project is the largest every carried out in Poland.

NEW BORDEAUX STADIUM // FRANCEThe modular 42,000-seat arena was inaugurated on 18 May 2015. The project, led by VINCI Construction France, was completed on a tight schedule to enable the stadium to host UEFA Euro 2016. It also involved a strong social component, with the volume of work integration hours exceeding the 63,000 provided for in the contract by a wide margin.
LES HALLES CANOPY // FRANCE In the heart of Paris, VINCI Construction France is transforming a neighbourhood visited by nearly one million people every day.
TOUKRA UNIVERSITY // CHADAfter handing over the first phase of the project in N’Djamena in early 2012, joint venture lead company Sogea-Satom won the contract for the second phase with a total value of €70 million.

BRISBANE AIRPORT // AUSTRALIA Menard Bachy worked on the construction of the new runway that will increase the airport’s capacity. The project was completed three weeks ahead of schedule, having totalled 40,000 hours of work without lost-time accident.
DOHA METRO // QATAR VINCI Construction Grands Projets is continuing the construction of the 13.8 km Red Line South, with 5 stations and 30 km of tunnels. The twin-bored line will link the Doha airport with the Msheireb neighbourhood in the heart of the Qatari capital’s historic centre.
WOURI BRIDGE // CAMEROON In Douala, lead company Sogea-Satom, working in a joint venture with Soletanche Bachy and with the help of Dodin Campenon Bernard and VINCI Construction France, is continuing work on a curved 760 metre bridge with 6 traffic lanes and a railway track.
CROSSRAIL // UNITED KINGDOMVINCI Construction UK, VINCI Construction Grands Projets and Soletanche Freyssinet are involved in several worksites of Europe’s largest public transport project.

Water infrastructureCOVERING THE ENTIRE
WATER CYCLEWater engineering is one of VINCI Construction’s long-standing business activities. VINCI Construction has therefore been able to develop comprehensive expertise encompassing the entire water cycle, from drinking water pumping to rainwater runoff management, dam maintenance and wastewater discharge and treatment. The growing need for sanitation and water systems around the world will drive the long-term expansion of the activity.
SEINE AVAL PLANT // FRANCE At Europe’s largest wastewater treatment plant, VINCI Construction France and Dodin Campenon Bernard are continuing the second phase of the modernisation project, which involves biological treatment.

ASSIUT BARRAGE // EGYPTVINCI Construction Grands Projets is building the new Assiut Barrage on the Nile, under a design-build contract, to replace the old dam dating back to the early 20th century. The structure will ensure navigation on the Nile thanks to a double lock and will irrigate nearly 700,000 hectares of land down to Cairo.
PRE-TREATMENT PLANT // MOROCCOThe work carried out at Sidi Bernoussi by Sogea Maroc as part of a joint venture will require 230,000 m3 of excavation to a depth of 18 metres below sea level, 1,400 tonnes of reinforcing steel and 15,000 m3 of reinforced concrete.
LEE TUNNEL // UNITED KINGDOM VINCI Construction Grands Projets teams and Soletanche Bachy are continuing construction of a structure that will halve the volume of wastewater discharged to the Thames every year.

Energy & NuclearCONTRIBUTING
TO A SUCCESSFUL ENERGY TRANSITION As a result of sharply increasing energy demand and a changing energy mix, nuclear and renewable energies have become strategic sectors. VINCI Construction has a considerable head start: the group’s project references encompass a wide variety of expertise, from reactor construction to the construction of outsized structures designed to capture energy in the air and on the seafloor.

URBAN GEOTHERMAL NETWORK // FRANCEBuilt in Villejuif near Paris by Entrepose Drilling, the facility will offer low-cost, ecological heating for the equivalent of 27,000 to 28,000 housing units. The work covers construction of a 2,305 metre deep production shaft and a 2,100 metre injection shaft.
ITER // FRANCE In August 2014, a joint venture bringing together several VINCI Construction subsidiaries performed the last concrete pour for the second basemat of the future nuclear research reactor at Cadarache.
CHERNOBYL CONFINEMENT // UKRAINEThis 25,000 tonne steel structure could cover the surface area of the Stade de France and is as high as a 30-storey building. It will contain the tools required to dismantle the damaged reactor and clean up the site safely.
EOLIFT // INNOVATIONDesigned by Freyssinet, these very high wind turbines will significantly increase the amount of power generated by capturing winds at higher altitudes, which are more powerful and more regular.

Oil & gasSUPPORTING
STRONG ENERGY DEMANDVINCI Construction carries out major storage tank and pipeline construction projects. The group also delivers the full range of solutions and services required by the oil & gas sector: oil and gas infrastructure, pipelines, undersea pipes, oil drilling and underground storage.

OIL STORAGE SITE // UNITED STATESIn Louisiana, Menard USA devised a ground reinforcement solution able to support four 43 metre diameter, 12 metre high oil tanks. It involved installing 2,000 controlled modulus columns (CMC) to a depth of 40 metres.
YAMAL LNG PROJECT // RUSSIAVINCI Construction Grands Projets and Entrepose Contracting are building four cryogenic storage tanks in one of the world’s coldest regions. The project will provide access to the huge gas resources of the Russian Arctic by creating a new shipping route to Europe and Asia.
UNDERSEA PIPES // BENINEntrepose subsidiary Geocean used its new Geocean Protis barge to redevelop the Sèmè field in Beninese waters.
WHEATSTONE LNG PROJECT // AUSTRALIAVINCI Construction Grands Projets and Entrepose Contracting are responsible for engineering, supplies and construction of two 150,000 m3 LNG (liquefied natural gas) storage tanks and two 120,000 m3 condensate storage tanks. The project is being carried out in temperatures approaching 50°C during the southern summer.

EnvironmentDELIVERING
CUSTOMISED PROCESS SOLUTIONS VINCI Construction operates in engineering, design and turnkey construction of water, waste and fume treatment units and develops the integrated technologies used in them. VINCI Construction’s activities also cover pollution remediation and deconstruction (clean-up, asbestos removal and demolition).

IVRY-PARIS XIII WASTE RECYCLING CENTRE // FRANCEThis design-build works contract has a value for the VINCI companies of €513 million over a period of nearly 12 years.
LUTETIA HOTEL // FRANCE Arene and CMS teams are carrying out asbestos removal, lead removal and clean-up work as part of the renovation of the legendary 1930s-era hotel. The specialised VINCI Construction France subsidiaries operate under the NEOM brand dedicated to deconstruction.
CORNWALL ENERGY RECOVERY CENTRE // UNITED KINGDOMVINCI Environnement UK is building a waste to energy facility that will process up to 240,000 tonnes of non-recyclable waste per year. The installation will also provide enough energy to supply power to the equivalent of 21,000 households.
BRUSSELS WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT // BELGIUM As part of a joint venture, VINCI Environnement won the contract covering work on the city’s second wastewater treatment plant to modernise its water treatment line. A physical-chemical air treatment unit will also be built.

EL TENIENTE MINE // CHILEVINCI Construction Grands Projets and Soletanche Bachy are boring two new tunnels at the world’s largest underground copper mine, at an altitude of more than 1,500 metres.
BEYLA-N’ZEREKORE ROAD // REPUBLIC OF GUINEASogea-Satom is providing 850,000 m3 of excavation and 350,000 m3 of backfill for the 128 km road as part of the Simandou mining project.
