Brief history of the Department:-

One of the first departments of dental was established in the year of 1986.It is a part of

Vinayaka Mission's Sankarachariyar Dental College. The department is conducting UG

(BDS) Program with intake of 100 students and 2 PG ( MDS) under the curriculum given by

Dental council of India and following annual examination pattern. Department of

Prosthodontics also has diploma course

1) Post graduates and Dental Technicians to visit the laboratory and learn

the digital technologies used in dentistry.

Ceramic Crowns using digital technology (3-D Printing).
