Claim = SYHS is the best school for students who want to go to college.

Evidence = In the past two years, SYHS has had 4 students win the Gates Millennium Scholarship.

Details: Last year, only 18 students in all of San Diego County won this scholarship. Only 1000 students in the entire country won it.

What does the evidence mean?

This means that SYHS can provide students an opportunity that most schools cannot. Having 4 Gates Scholars in 2 years is an incredible amount considering that most schools get 0.

Why is this important?

This is important because college can be very expensive. By winning so many scholarships, SYHS is not only providing students a way to get into college but a way to pay for it as well.
