DESCRIPTIVE WRITING

Imagine that these places are important places to you. Choose 2 locations and write a paragraph describing the place and why it is important to you. Write your response on the paper provided and hand in at the end of the lesson.Remember to use the SIMPLES formula so that you “show” not “tell” in your writing. (Imagine these places are in colour!) I am looking for “quality” – not “quantity”.

The branches of the palms stretched over us like God/ a loving parent protecting us. S) The branches waved gently welcoming us to this new place. (P) The branches were sheltering arms protecting us from the heat of the sun. (P/M)
