IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR A GRANT THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS MUST BE MET: School applying must be a high school in the provinces of Alberta, Ontario,

British Columbia and Saskatchewan. School applying must be involved with a Skills Canada Member Organization. A teacher employed at the applying school must be named as Project Advisor or

Co-advisor. Students of the applying school must be involved in the

implementation/construction of the project. Labour costs over and above student work are not to exceed 10% of total grant received.

Applying schools must be able to complete the proposed project within the school year of receiving the grant.

Applying schools do not have to have a Lowe’s nearby to qualify for a grant; however, an ongoing partnership with Lowe’s is more practical when there is a store within a reasonable distance to the school.
