App: Animoto Lesson Plan and Student GuideBloom’s Taxonomy: Create

Lesson Ideas:TSW create an Animoto project on a selected “theme” to reflect a historical topic/event. TSW will submit the project via email or embedded document. See rubric below for scoring information.

How to use app: Animoto

The following directions are using an iphone/ipad to complete the project. If you are using the computer version, these directions may vary. FYI.

1. Click “Create” to start a new animoto project.

2. Scroll through the library of pictures and click up to 12 images. You will see the count in the “use” box.

3. Select your style by scrolling here.

You may select the music that you want by clicking here.

4. If you want to preview the song, click on the . If you want to access your own playlist, click here and you can choose from one of your own songs.

5. Animoto will have you set up your 1st (intro) and last (outro) screen. Work count is limited so keep this in mind. If you want to add captions to your pics, slide your fingers on the lined tabs and it will open.

6. You may change the order of the pictures by pressing a picture to select. While holding the picture, you can move it to arrange the order that you want it to be in. By pressing the T+ button, you can enter caption slides

7. This is what the screen will look like when you select the image to write a caption. The word count is limited so keep this in mind.

8. Press preview- it will upload the project to allow to watch it. If you like your finished project, click on save video. If not, click resume edit to go back and make changes.
