While I looked through a few gaming blogs and profiles, I came across a few things that struck my mind, one of them being the design and aesthetic of what they all looked like……..

The title is in a blocky font style, trying to grab onto the nostalgic 8 bit warriors of yonder

Discrete links to other sites aren’t totally in your face

Timeline stream so you know what’s newer and it also stays up to date

Page 4: VIDEOGAMING BLOGS AND PROFILES

A professional looking header that show cases what your about without out right stating it

A link box keeping an eye out on what people are saying via social networking about

Page 5: VIDEOGAMING BLOGS AND PROFILES

Quick links for a range of information and links to related topics, whether that be the person or company etc. and other uses such as current projects and contact information

Bright colours and very stylised graphics help attract more people to look at what's on the screen

• A lot of these sites that review games generally have similar information, however they package them in different ways

• Personal pages of such people as Peter Molyneux and David Jaffe give more up to date info on their current projects, as well as their own thought on current in market topics and games

• As information on AAA titles comes out, a lot of sites will make it their main display/story/highlight

• Personal blogs of people within the game industry have very similar layouts, links to other personal pages, company website, official pages of current projects etc.

Other things I noticed…..
