Dear Sirs: It is my pleasure and honor of writing this letter concerning my Eagle Scout  project. I come to you because my dear father, Bernard Minh Huong, is a very dedicated one among you, members of the association of former Saint Joseph Congregation. My name is Victor Nguyen; I am a 16 years old boy scout from Troop 730, and a member of the St. Peter Vietnamese Catholic Church. I have received my First Communion as well as my Confirmation at St. Peter¶s, and would like to finally be able to give back to the community with a service project. I am trying to benefit the church by renovating the landscape around the Saint Joseph statue in front of the gymnasium of Saint Peter Vietnamese Catholic Church, Dallas, Texas.  I am writing this to you because I believe that you will want to honor your patron saint; giving  back to the world for your well-educated roots and your successes in life. The reason I choose this project is because it will provide a positive spirit to those entering the courtyard or the gym,  be appreciated at major events such as the Christmas feasts, New Year¶s Festival; as well as weekly, when children enter the courtyard. The evergreen garden and fresh flowers will  provide harmonious aesthetics for a peaceful and serene refuge for all churchgoers. People tend to spend thousands of dollars for their loved ones¶ tombs and because of that I strongly believed that Saint Joseph deserves a respectful up keep ing.  In this project, I plan to remove the litter and dead bushes to be replaced with fresh flowers and a new fence. The fence surrounding the AC unit will also be repaired as well as weatherproofed. This is all in order to refresh to church¶s look with something organic and new as well as create a decent place for parishioners to pray at all times. Please allow me to help to church and God¶s loving children by contributing a small donation to fund this project.  Attached are the diagram of the project, photographs of existing condition and a list of supplies that the budget is paying for in case you would prefer to loan supplies, volunteering your time,  providing labor rather than donate money.  Sincerely, Victor Nguyen 4309 Wayfaring Street  Mesquite, TX 75150
