August 1 - Day 1Cork to Kilshannig House

Arrive at Cork Airport late morning anddepart for the Joseph Walsh Studio. August 3 – Day 3 -Cork City Tour

A historic Tour of Cork City willinclude a visit to St. Fin Barre’sCathedral and the famedEnglish Market that opened in1788. After lunch at CrawfordGallery Café we are led onbespoken shopping andgallery excursions. We returnto Kilshannig House in time forsome rest. This evening weenjoy a seated dinner at aprivate home. Spend the nightat Kilshannig House.

August 4 – Day 4 -Hugo Merry’s Bloodstock Farmand Lismore Castle

We begin the morning with aninformed walk around Hugo Merry’sbeautiful farm observing horses, treesand plants. A late morning departurefrom Kilshannig House throughCounty Cork brings us to LismoreCastle where lunch is served. Theafternoon is free to roam LismoreCastle and its grounds and gardens.Cocktails precede a seated dinner atthe castle. Spend the night at LismoreCastle.

August 2 – Day 2 - Ballymaloe Day

Spend the morning touring MidletonDistillery, home to Jameson Whiskeyfollowed by lunch at Farmgate Restaurantand Country Store. Following lunch wespend the afternoon at Darina Allen’s famedBallymaloe Cookery School. Aftershopping, and a tour of the organic gardensand shell house, we have a demonstrationclass and then prepare and enjoy ourdinner. After dinner we return to KilshannigHouse for a relaxed evening. Spend night atKilshannig House.

August 6 – Day 6 - GeorgianHouse Tours

Today we visit severalimportant Georgian Houses,including Salterbridge, Tourin,and Cappoquin. After touringand lunch at Cappoquin House,we return to Lismore Castle fora relaxing afternoon to preparefor our Gala Black-Tie Dinner.This evening we dine in thesplendor of historic Pugin Hall,complete with music andentertainment. Nightcaps inthe Drawing Room culminatethe evening. Spend the nightat Lismore Castle.

August 5 – Day 5 -Castle Day and Cookery Class

We pass the morning leisurelyexploring and touring Lismore Castleand its impressive art collections.We also tour the Sculpture Gardenwith the Head Gardener and thenforage in the Kitchen Garden for theCookery Class. We prepare a latelunch under the tutelage of Beth-Ann,the Castle Chef, and then relax untiltime for cocktails at Lismore CastleArts. Seated dinner in the DiningRoom. Spend the night at LismoreCastle.

August 7 – Day 7 -Day at Lismore Castle

A relaxed day offers optional fishing,golfing, hiking or kayaking. For those lessenergetic, a relaxed morning at the castle isfollowed by lunch at Foley’s Pub in LismoreVillage. Your afternoon is free, followed bycocktails in the Drawing Room and a seateddinner in the Dinning Room at LismoreCastle. Spend the night at Lismore Castle.

Kilshannig House, located in County Cork, is the grandPalladian Estate of Hugo Merry. Built in 1765, it has lovely18th century rooms that have been restored to their formerglory as well as decorative plasterwork by the Lafranchinibrothers, known to be the finest in all of Ireland. LismoreCastle is the Irish Country Home of the Duke of Devonshire. Itis filled with an impressive collection of priceless art andantiques. It is located in Waterford County, near Cork in theSouth of Ireland.

Early August is a beautiful time in Ireland. The countryside isvery green and lush. And it is the perfect time to enjoy thebounty of its abundant summer gardens. The hightemperatures during this time of year are in the mid 60s.

The cost of the trip is $8995 per person, including everything(lodging at Kilshannig House and Lismore Castle, all tours,meals, wine, spirits, and tips, etc) from pickup at Cork Airportto drop off there one week later.

The accommodations at the castle are for two persons perroom (double occupancy). There is a single supplement of$2300 for bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms or singlesupplement of $1150 if bathroom is yours alone, but downthe hallway.

There is an Optional Golf Program for those who might beinterested. (See below)
