Overview• Due to the floundering economy of recent

memory, the United States Navy, among other

branches of the military, has had to downsize the

working force of enlisted sailors. The Navy’s means

of doing this was through a program called Perform

To Serve (or PTS) introduced in February of

2003 (NAVADMIN 03-050, 2003) as a force reshaping

tool.

Overview• There are a number of issues that have arisen for

the Navy due to the implementation of Perform To

Serve and its subsequent algorithm.

• All depend about: dependability, comprised, work

ethic.

• Change is emotional for many people; many sailors

join the Navy planning to make it a career, and

when that does not pan out, it can be

heartbreaking

Overview• In 2011 alone, 6,700 sailors were discharged despite

a desire to reenlist (Steele, 2012). With the economy

as it stands and unemployment reaching high

levels, the influx of the unemployed sailors is adding

to a prevailing desperation across the country.

Opportunity in Adversity.• Problems: Family members that are left behind

during deployment are constantly juggling to keep

up with the lives they were once accustom too prior

to their significant other deploys for 6 to 9 months.

Stress on the families is growing into a epidemic that

requires the military to stand up entirely new

devision to support the reverse post traumatic stress

that is being felt from these deployments.

Opportunity in Adversity.• Solutions: We are the foot runners of the military

bases world wide. If you need to register a car and

your spouse is too busy to do so, we can help. If the

sitter is not available and you have to pick up your

kids from school or pick up someone from the

airport, Perform to Serve can help.

Opportunity in Adversity.• ¿How does this solution works?

• It is simple. Use a computer or smart phone to request a

task or errand using text, voice to text, or video. Select

the amount you are willing to pay or leave blank for the

troopers to give you their pricer. The network of troopers

in and around your military base will be instantly notified

via the Twillio.com sms text service or via the google

map geolocation maps of the task.

• The trooper can then accept the task, contact you via

hour voip anonymous call back phone network to make

final arrangements to carry out the task.

• Once the trooper is done, he is paid directly via Amazon

Web Pay or via Dwolla.com free bank to bank transfer.

Opportunity in Adversity• ¿Is military deployment work ups really a problem?

• Well according to NMFA's Serving the Home Front

report note that: "Training is a continuous step... and

the challenge lies in reaching the families who need

it.“

• Less that one-half of the respondents reported a

consistent level of family support throughout

predeployment, deployment, and post deployment

phases and 17 percent report no support was

available .

Opportunity in Adversity• National Guard Spouse responded saying " I think

the hardest part for my family was the fact that as a

Guard family, we had never been through a

deployment before. I knew nothing about that

life, the phases, anything. I felt very unsure about

where my resources were and who to call for help.

I really think that, regardless of the military

status, every family needs to have a basic

knowledge of deployment life.. be it written

resources, workshops, what have you."

Opportunity in Adversity• Solutions:

• We have a unique virtual assistance network built

100% of the strongest force alive.

• We take the certifications and skills of the active

duty members, build it into a resume style

profile, solicited veterans owned companies looking

for those skills and connect the service members

with those small veteran owned business.

• You manage your own schedule, sign up for the

jobs that are relevant to your with out having to

quite your day time job.
