Amount of Precipitation and climate

Venice is a state that consist of mostly small islands and large scale of water. During July and August the state experiences high humidity with hot weather. Due to its geographical location Venice experiences mostly thunderstorms and rainfalls during autumn and spring Causing floods called Aqua Alta. Venice experiences 2 – 4 inches of rain.

Plants/Flora

Olive Trees - are very hardy, drought, disease and fire-resistant, and can live for a very long time. Its root system is very robust

Scientific name : Olea europaea

Citrus Trees - is very vigorous with almost no dormancy, blooming several times a year

Scientific name : Citrus auratium

Animals/ Fauna

Marmot - are truly charming creatures that are cute and have interesting habits

Scientific Name : Marmota Vancouverensis

Ibex - is a species of wild mountain goat that have huge back-curving horns

Significance• Venice contains mostly of water resources, and is a wetland biome. We

could find different aquatic organisms here. In our course, it includes cooking different dishes/animals meaning it involves the killing of this specie. So it is still important to think about the effects before trying to cook it. We can’t cook whatever animal we want. Because it could cause a disruption in the biome. This biome is important because it provides us different organisms that we could experiment and cook, but we should never abuse it.
