AV14 Vehicle Cradle InstructionsUse these instructions to install the vehicle cradle (Model AV14) on model PB21, PB22, PB31, and PB32 printers. The vehicle cradle provides a convenient way to mount the printer on your vehicle for charging or printing.

To change the base and adjust the latch hooks1 Using a small Phillips screwdriver remove the four screws
attaching the PB31/PB32 base to the vehicle cradle.
Note: The vehicle cradle comes configured for use with the model PB31 and PB32 printers. If you are using a model PB21 or PB22 printer, you will need to remove the PB31/PB32 base and install the PB21/PB22 base. You also need to adjust the latch hooks at the top of the vehicle cradle.

2 Mount the base on the vehicle and install the four screws.
3 Remove the two screws on the latch hooks, slide out the latch hooks to reveal a second set of screw holes.
4 Install the screws in the wider set of screw holes.
Items Not Provided• Power cord. You need to purchase the appropriate power
cord separately. For help, contact your Intermec sales representative.
• Small Phillips screwdriver.

Installing the Vehicle Cradle1 Attach the RAM vehicle mount base to the vehicle cradle
using the four button hex screws and the hex key.
2 Attach the RAM vehicle base to your vehicle using the four ¼-inch-flathead hex screws and nuts.
3 Attach the vehicle cradle to the RAM vehicle base by placing the mounting arm over the two bases and then tightening the mounting arm.

4 Using a small Phillips screwdriver, remove the two screws from the connector cover on the back of the printer and save the screws and the connector for later use if necessary.
5 Insert the printer into the vehicle cradle and then pull out and push back on the blue lever.
6 Press the printer into the vehicle cradle until you hear a click and the printer is firmly connected to the vehicle cradle.
7 Push in on the blue lever to lock the printer into the vehicle cradle.

8 Attach the power cord to the connector on the side of the vehicle cradle.
9 Connect the other end of the power cord to your vehicle.
Using the Vehicle Cradle With Fanfold MediaIf you want to use fanfold media with the vehicle cradle, use the following procedure to understand how to route the media through the printer.
To use the vehicle cradle with fanfold media1 Position the box that contains the fanfold media in a
convenient location.
2 Press the media cover release button to open the media door.
3 Route the media through the slot in the bottom of the printer and pull a few inches through the printer.
4 Close the media door.
Caution: Do not use the serial port in the vehicle dock at the same time as the serial port in the printer. Doing so will result in corrupted data.

Installation du support d’imprimante pour véhicule

Alteração do suporte e ajuste dos ganchos do bloqueio1 Utilizando uma chave de parafusos Phillips pequena, remova
os quatro parafusos de fixação do suporte da PB31/PB32 à base do veículo.
Nota: A base para veículo está configurada para utilização com as impressoras PB31 e PB32. Se utiliza uma impressora PB21 ou PB22, terá de remover o suporte do modelo PB31/PB32 e instalar o suporte do modelo PB21/PB22. Terá também de ajustar os ganchos do bloqueio na parte superior da base do veículo.

2 Fixe o suporte para veículos RAM ao seu veículo utilizando os quatro parafusos hexagonais de cabeça chata de 6,35 mm e as quatro porcas.
3 Fixe a base para veículos ao suporte para veículos RAM, posicionando o braço de instalação sobre os dois suportes e apertando o braço de instalação.

4 Utilizando uma chave de parafusos Phillips pequena, remova os dois parafusos da cobertura do conector na parte traseira da impressora e guarde os parafusos e o conector para utiliza-ção posterior, se necessário.
5 Coloque a impressora na base para veículos e, a seguir, puxe para fora e carregue para trás na alavanca azul.
6 Carregue na impressora para instalá-la na base para veículos até ouvir um estalido e a impressora estar firmemente ligada à base para veículos.
7 Carregue para dentro a alavanca azul para bloquear a impressora na base para veículos.

8 Ligue o cabo de alimentação ao conector na parte lateral da base para veículos.
9 Ligue a outra extremidade do cabo de alimentação ao seu veículo.
Utilização da base para veículos com papel sanfonado
Para utilizar papel sanfonado com a base para veículos, leia as instruções a seguir para alimentar o papel pela impressora.

Если Вы хотите использовать сфальцованный носитель, когда у Вас установлен автомобильный кронштейн, то для заправки носителя в принтер действуйте следующим образом.
Внимание! Не используйте при этом последовательный порт автомобильной стойки как последовательный порт принтера. Это испортит данные.

Чтобы использовать автомобильный кронштейн со сфальцованным носителем
1 Установите коробку со сфальцованным носителем в удобном месте.
2 Нажмите на кнопку освобождения крышки и откройте дверцу носителя.
3 Вставьте носитель в щель внизу принтера и вытяните через принтер несколько сантиметров носителя.
4 Закройте дверцу носителя.
