Gurukula Activities On 06.07.2018 and 13.07.2018 under the guidance of the coordinators of the Village

Adoption Programme Dr.C.Vadivel and Dr.M.PavunRaj, a group of students from our

college taught Fairy Tales and Bhajans to the school students of nearby villages.

On 22.07.2018 Our Vice – Principal along with some faculty members and 20 students

from our college attended the conference entitled “Indian Economy: Present status and

Future Perspective” organized by Swadesi Awareness Movement, Madurai.

Gurupoornima was celebrated on 27.07.2018 and former Principal of our college

Dr.R.Vanniarajan delivered a special address to the students.

On 28.07.2018 based on the MoU signed between our college and Srisathguru Sangeetha

Vidhyalaya, inaugural function of certificate course on Musical training was conducted in

the Smart Class Room of Commerce Department. Dr. V. Bala, Principal of Srisathguru

Sangeetha Vidhyalaya explained the structure of the certificate course to the participants.

Faculty Enrichment Program “Faculty Enrichment Programme” was conducted by Internal Quality Assurance Cell for

“Implementing the ERP Solution in our College” on 23.07.2018 Monday in the Audio Visual Hall. Mr. M.Mohammed Rafi, Director and Mr. B.A.Manikandan, Technical Director, Clairvoyant Software Technologies Pvt., Ltd., Madurai gave a clear description about the ERP System to the faculties in our college.

Department of Economics “OIKOS Meet” the student development programme was conducted by the Department of

Economics in the Audio Visual Hall on 13.07.2018. Dr.K.Chellapandian Assistant Professor of Commerce gave Lecture to the students. The Final year students of the department conducted the Quiz and continued Paper Presentation about the “Poverty Alleviation Programs in India” in the programme.

“Industrial Visit” : PG and Research Department of Commerce organized a one day industrial

visit to Gandhigaram Trust to visit the rural small industries running in Gandhi gram on 20.07.2018 for 56 B.Com final year ,64 B.Com first year and 6 PG students accompanied by 2 staff members.

“Field Visit”: On 30.07.2018, 36 II B.Sc., Physics students along with Sri.V.Rajendran, and

Sri.S.Ganeshan, Assistant Professors of Physics, visited, Regional Solar testing Centre, Department of Solar Energy, Madurai Kamaraj University. Dr.Tennyson Daniel, Research Associate & M.Rajesh Kumar, Research Assistant demonstrate the various solar instruments. Students got an opportunity to visit the Regional solar testing centre to know about solar flat plate collectors, various solar panel and its components and also know about the various applications. Further, the students along with the faculties visited thin film Lab & single crystal X-ray Diffractometer lan in the School of Physics. Also got an opportunity to visit different sections in Dr.T.P.M.Library at Madurai Kamaraj University.

14.07.2018 at Audio Visual Hall. The Resource Person Sri M.Muthalagu, Assistant Professor of PG Dept. of Computer Science, Thiyagarajar College, Madurai gave a Lecture about the “Cloud Computing as Innovation Platform for Social and Big Data”.
