Arterial diseases commonlyaffectolderadults, especiallythosewithcardiovascularriskfactorssuch as diabetes, hypertension, tobacco use and hyperlipidemia.Venousthrombosisandchronicvenousinsufficiencyareevenmorecommonproblems,withdisablingandpotentiallylife-threateningcomplications. This fourth annual installment of the UC DavisVascularCenter’sVascular Care seriesaddresses thechallengesofmanagingarterialandvenousdiseases, withanexaminationoftheevidenceuponwhichpracticeguidelineshavebeenbased.

As diagnostic and therapeutic technologies have developedrapidly in the past several years, vascular care specialists nowhave a broader array of choices and options.
