If you are looking for a place to relax over a glass of wine or cocktail, Local Kitchen and Wine Merchant is the perfect neighborhood destination. The Cal-Italian menu can be enjoyed at a private table or their long communal table. It is a good place to meet people, the food is delicious and the staff is easy on the eyes.
Rincon Hill has great amenities for all residents, including its canines. Rincon Hill Dog Park is located between Bryant Street and the west anchorage of The Bay Bridge. This community-run dog park has fenced off-leash areas for big and small dogs plus free waste bags provided by Pawtrero Hill Pet Store. Barely a year old, the park will soon see an influx of canine condo dwellers when the new construction in the neighborhood is complete. I give it 5 Barks, 5 being the highest.
One my favorite sandwich shops/mini marts in the heart of the Rincon Hill community is Gabby’s Cafe. My turkey sandwich is made to perfection by owner Sam who treats me and those that enter his establishment like one of the family. In fact this family run sandwich/mini market has the entire family running the store. It remind me of the corner market I grew up going to every day. Its a great place to pick up fine wine, groceries and snacks when I am racing to another appointment at One Rincon Hill.
I really enjoy coming in at the end of my day and catching theballgame where neighbors and friends like to just hang out.
You are bound to return to Gabby’s as this property has that warm and friendly atmosphere. Best sandwich in SOMA!!!!
