Valulla Boat

The Valulla Boat is a medium sized party boat available to hire on the River Thames in London, able to accommodate parties of 50 – 130 passengers. She is an ideal vessel for family celebrations and birthday parties.

The Valulla Boat is a spacious and comfortable vessel. The lower deck comprises of a full licensed bar, sound system and dance-floor. She has an open-top upper deck allowing your guests to take in the amazing sights of London from the river by day or night.

The outside deck is accessed via stairs and no lift is available.

Private Charter Rates include the hire of the boat, crew and bar staff.

River Thames

Treat your guests to a magical journey through the heart of London, as they sail along one of London's greatest assets.

Cruising past the Houses of Parliament, the Globe theatre, the Tower of London and through Tower Bridge provides a wonderful newperspective to these famous historical sites, combine this with the modern architecture of the London Eye and the Shard, and you have a truly amazing backdrop to your event.

Whether you are planning to cruise during the day or in the evening, the river Thames will not disappoint.

The London Promenade can sail between Putney and the Thames Barrier.

There are two piers that you can choose from to start and finish at are:

1. Festival Pier

2. Westminster Pier

The boat will arrive at the pier 15-minutes before your start time and will depart promptly at the specified time. Once the boat departs it cannot return to the pier to collect any late arrivals, so we recommend that you and your guests arrive early.

The boat will return to the pier 15-minutes before your end time, the bar will close and the music stops. Your guests then have 15-minutes to finish their drinks and disembark the boat.

6.45pm Guests start to board at the pier

7.00pm Prompt departure

10.45pm Return to the pier, the bar closes and music stops

11.00pm Guests disembark

All pier slots are subject to availability and cannot be reserved until your party is confirmed and your deposit has been paid. We ALWAYS ask that you do not send any invites until your requested pier slots have been confirmed back by the Pier Master.

We have a range of food options to enhance your party from bar snacks and nibbles to finger buffets and BBQ’s or you can choose to bring your own food on-board.

OWN CATERING - £3.60 per person

When providing your own catering, we would recommend that you or chosen caterers view the boat first. Catering on-board is very different from land-venues with strict rules and timing logistics.

Cold food only, there is no kitchen available. You or your caterers will need to prepare and cook all food prior to boarding.

You or your caterers will need to provide all equipment that relates to the catering –cutlery, crockery, table linen, napkins, serving dishes, utensils etc.

You or your caterers will be responsible for all aspects of the food service – loading, serving, clearing, unloading.Our staff will not be available to help with this.

We will endeavour to allow 1-hour set up time before a function, however this cannot always be guaranteed. Any clients requiring extra set up time are requested to book additional hours hire.

We ask that you or your caterers leave the boat clean and tidy and put all food waste into black rubbish bags. We will then dispose of the waste.

Under NO circumstances are own drinks permitted.

Drinks

There is a fully licensed bar for drinks, which are served in plastic glasses. You can choose to work the bar in different ways:

1. PAY AS YOU GO BAR - guests purchase their own drinks from the bar. Both cash and card payments are accepted. (Minimum card spend of £20 (no AMEX).

2. PRE-PAY BAR TAB - you can pre-pay a set amount to put behind the bar. On the day of your event the bar manager will inform you when nearing the limit. You can decide to increase the limit on the day if needed. Any amount not spent will be refunded.

Entertainment & Decorations

OWN ENTERTAINMENT - if providing your own entertainment, your artists will need to bring all their own equipment. There is a sound system which can be hired for your own DJ to use.

Sound System Hire - £180• 2 x speakers at the front of the boat (lower deck) • 1 x speaker by the bar (lower deck) • 1 x speaker by the DJ box (lower deck)• 2 x speakers on the outside (upper deck) noise limiter • Your DJ needs to bring XLR lead to plug into the system

Your artists will be responsible for the loading and unloading of their own equipment. Our staff will not be available to help with this.

The boat is fitted with a sound limiter of 85 decibels which will remain under the Captains control at all times.

OWN DECORATIONS – if providing your own decorations we ask is that nothing is used that might mark the boat (i.e. pins, nails, duct tape etc), and that no 'messy' decorations are used like silly string or smoke machines. For safety reasons, the following are not permitted onboard under any circumstances:

• Naked flames.• Party poppers, silly string, confetti, table confetti or similar.• Dry ice, smoke or bubble machines.• Lit candles, sparklers, fireworks or similar.• Strobe or laser lights.

We will endeavour to allow 1-hour set up time before your function, however this cannot always be guaranteed. Any clients requiring extra set up time are requested to book additional hours hire.

You will be responsible for the loading and unloading of their own decorations. Our staff will not be available to help with this.

All decorations must be taken down at the end of the cruise and taken away with you. We cannot guarantee safe keeping of any items that are left behind.

Rules & Safety

The safety of you, your guests, our staff and crew are top priority and to ensure that a good time is had by all, we do have to impose some safety measures on some types of parties.

The damage deposit will be refunded 7 days after the cruise as long as there is no damage to the boat, equipment, fixtures or fittings.

Age Policy; if more than 5% of passengers are under 21, please contact the office at the time of booking for details of the under 21’s policy. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of the Private Charter.

Smoking is permitted on designated outside deck only.

Cancelation Policy; • If the Hirer cancels the booking the Deposit in not refundable in whole or in part.• Should the cancelation occur within 42 days of the date of the Private Charter then the Hirer will be liable to pay the balance cost of the

Private Charter if the Boat cannot be re-let. In addition, the Hirer will be liable to pay the costs of any contracted artistes or attractions booked on their behalf.

• Should the cancelation occur less than 21 days before the date of the Private Charter then the Hirer will in additional be liable to pay all catering and any other costs incurred in connection to the event.

• At the time of booking the Hirer must state as accurately as possible the nature of the function and expected number of guests. The Operating Company may in its absolute discretion and without giving any reason refuse to accept the Private Charter.
