Value: Living a Life Worthy of a Legacy

    Scripture Exodus 6:5-8

You may be just one decision away from a radically different future. As a man thinketh in his heart, so is He. Pr 23:7

Bondage to mindsets Bondage to opinions Bondage to social mores Bondage to attitudes Bondage to our own limitations

What can we, as mothers, teach our children, which will guarantee a successful future?

How much would you be willing to invest for that kind of valuable information What if I could tell you one thing, which would promise prosperity for your family

line into the millennium? What would you be willing to do for that kind of revelation? What if I could give you a word, which would radically and positively change the

current direction of you and your family?

    Value:

Attitudes, which will hold you back:

Victim mentality Self- promotion, self-protection, self-preservation Racism

The lie:If you buy into it, the lie that is, it says you then believe:

I am a victim to who you think I am. My value is determined by how much you value me. My future is based on man, laws, or government, or what I can get, take or

    manipulate into being.

    I have no voice.The truth:

I am what/who God says I am. I am valued because I am made in the image of God.

My future is dependant on God, and God alone. I have a voice and I will use it for the glory of God.

Trail of Tears- one of the most culturally devastating episodes in US history 1838-39 Andrew Jacksons Indian removal policy. Cherokee nation was forced to give up its lands east of the Mississippi River. Migration to an area in present-day Oklahoma. Cherokees were tricked with an illegitimate treaty. By 1838 only 2,000 had migrated; 15,000 remained on their land. The U.S. government sent in 7,000 troops, who forced the Cherokees into stockades

at bayonet point. They were not allowed time to gather their belongings, and as they left, whites looted

their homes. The migrants faced hunger, disease, and exhaustion on the forcedmarch. Over 4,000 out of 15,000 of the Cherokees died.

The Trail of Tears was the epitome of suffering of the Cherokee people under forcedremoval. Cherokee Indian babies faced potential murder if they were registered, so motherswould not register their babies out of fear for their lives.

My heritage: Cherokee Indian Grandmother We have no birth certificate. We have her marriage certificate and her death certificate, but no birth certificate.
