We are also asking, that all of you who are members of Valley Isle Fellowship, to sacrifice some time to come to our Business Meet- ing at 6:00 PM on November 24th in order to vote on either affirming or voting down this matter. We want you to have good information in order to pray through this issue so that we will be able to move in the direction of the Lord, whatever that choice might be. For us to decide without good information, is really doing a disservice to our Lord and to play right into the devil’s attack. For he would love to divide us with discord in order to prevent the cause of Christ from moving forward with great power and effectiveness. Finally, I want to keep everything in perspective. New Facilities are exciting and expensive. There- fore, they can consume the energy and drive of any church. However, facilities and buildings should never be the primary focus of the church. They should really take a lower priority because the major priority of every church should always be maturing in our love and obedience to the Lord. This means that Discipleship, Evangelism, Ministry, Missions, and Worship will always take priority over any New Facilities project. We need to put our greatest efforts in helping all of us grow in our love and commitment to Jesus Christ. We need to then put major emphasis into reaching out to those who are without Jesus. Whenever we move towards accomplishing great and mighty things for the Lord, the devil will creep into the midst of God’s people to bring discord and division. We saw this happen in Valley Isle Fellowship when we were making vital decisions regarding the building of our present church build- ing here in Waikapu. We are proposing some significant matters in our Annual Business Meeting on November 24th that can bring the Lord great honor and glory. Therefore, we need to be aware of the devil’s schemes and work hard to honor the Lord rather than to yield to the devil’s attack. In an effort to bring unity and harmony at last Sunday’s November 3rd Listen- ing Session, we attempted to present all of the items that will be voted on November 24th as well as some other information that is vital to VIF. During our Listening Session, I believe we received a warning from the Lord to take an extra step in the devil’s attack by attacking him. We have decided to have an informational meeting next Sunday, November 17th, immediately following our morn- ing service. We will not be opening the Fellowship and Refreshment time until this meeting is over. We ask that you would stay for approximately 15 to 30 minutes as we cast a vision of what we believe God is moving us toward in ministry and in building new facilities in order to accomplish what the Lord seems to be leading us to. At our Business Meeting on Nov. 24th, we will be requesting up to $50,000 to be com- bined with the money that remains from the selling of the property that is now Waiale Elua, in order to move us into the Design phase of the new Ministry Facilities. These funds are available in our general funds, but we will be asking all of our members to approve the expenditure of these funds in order for (continued on next page)

Therefore, next Sunday’s informational meeting will also involve sharing where we believe God is lead-ing us in ministry and how these facilities will enhance our abilities to move effectively and powerfully towards accomplishing all that God places before us. All of this is about seeking to please Jesus by bringing Him nothing but glory and honor. Please come with a prayerful heart, one that is seeking His ways and His desires, not our ways and desires. May the Lord bless you generously as we all seek to bring Him the glory and honor that He so deserves.

MISSION NEWSNAMB Missionary Spotlight:

International Mission BoardConnecting in Prayer

https://www.imb.org/pray/

*Central Asian Unengaged PeoplesPraise God for how he’s moving among the Luli! A Tajik believer recently reported that there is a group of more than 100 Luli believers outside a major city in Uzbekistan. They are growing in their faith and are desiring to go to Tajikistan to witness to Luli Gypsies living in that country. It’s exciting to learn how God is moving and to look forward to seeing what will happen next! Please pray for these Luli believers to continue to grow in their faith and to have a clear vision for ministry and outreach, and pray for local believers in the area where they live to know how to spur them on in their newfound faith.* Deaf PeoplesThere are three main cities in a country in Central Asia where most of the Deaf people live and a few national believers live. Gretchen Snow* and her team will be going to visit them to encourage them and to share God’s stories. Pray for Gretchen and her team that they will be able to train these Deaf friends, teaching them Bibles stories and leading the Deaf group in these cities. (*name changed)* Macedonians of Macedonia(ma-suh-DOH-nyuns) - Team Macedonia writes: “Ministries are in full swing, and as the holidays are quickly approaching, we are looking at a very busy calendar in November. Please pray for plenty of opportunities to share the gospel and God’s love with the families and students whom our team will encounter this month. And ask God for the endurance that our team will need to keep pushing and to finish the year strong. Thank you!”* Nu of Colombia(noo) - Until recently, the language of the Nu people existed only in oral form. Colombian missionaries, Lia* and John,* are working to finish up some of the technical pieces of their language translation work with the Nu people. Lia is collecting words of the Nu language into a dictionary, writing down their grammar methods, and gathering Bible stories into books for the Nu to read as they begin to learn to read their language. Join the Nu People Team in praising God that the specific programs they needed to finish the work have been acquired. The work is nearly done. Pray that the Lord will reveal any issues that need to be addressed as the grammar and technical aspects of the language are put into written form. Ask that the process of completing the work will be smooth and quick. (*names changed)

Pray that planters can meet these unique needs, disciple new believers and mobilize the Church in powerful and strategic ways.
