Color is characterized by attributes such as value, hue, and saturation. Different colors can send out different messages, reds, oranges and yellows are warm colors and blue, purples and green are cool colors.

show texture its best to use a
side light. If taking a picture
outside the best time of day
would be early in the
morning or late in the
afternoon. Texture in a
picture shows how the feel of
the object in the picture.

For a shape to be successfully identifiable, it needs to be in strong contrast with its surroundings so that it is detached from the clutter around it.
