Whether for the small joys of everyday life or simply for leisure, the V-Class is ready.With plenty of space and many good ideas for making variable use of the spaciousinterior. The separately opening tailgate1 is a case in point. Its space-saving openingsystem and the optionally available load compartment shelf with two shopping crates2

make loading and unloading child’s play. Opening and closing the optional electric EASY-PACK tailgate3 couldn’t be easier either – simply press the button. The multiple and varied seat configurations and adjustment options of the V-Class also make it more than versatile enough to keep up with the needs of your children.

From size comes space.

One, two or three – decide on the number of seats in both rows of seats to suit your needs. Four comfortableindividual seats are installed as standard in the rear. Even the compact body length has room for two 3-passenger bench seats, turning the V-Class into an eight-seater vehicle. Thanks to the seat rail system with quick-release attachment system you can move the bench seats and seats in a longitudinaldirection, turn them to face each other or remove them completely. And for those special preferencesregardingcomfort there is a 3-passenger bench seat as a comfort bunk1 and the unique luxury seats2

with massage and climate control functions.

Viewed from the outside, its unmistakable design with a striking bumper and a new diamond pattern in the radiator grille is pleasing to the eye. And at first glance the new V-Class with a large, centrallypositioned Mercedes star in the radiator trim with twin louvres in a high-sheensilver finish shows itself to be just as much a member of the Mercedes-Benzpassenger car family as before. A look at the interior will impress you too: the interior has a modern design and thanks to the use of top-quality materials and meticulous workmanship, it looks as good as it feels.

A companion you can rely upon. The V-Class supports you with its assistance and safety systems in many handling situations and gets you to your destination more safely, smoothly and relaxed. The Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Drive safety concept comprises modern systems such as optional Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC1, the LED Intelligent Light System2 with Highbeam Assist, Highbeam Assist Plus, Adaptive Brake Assist3 and Active Parking Assist with reversing camera4 or Active Parking Assist with a 360° camera5, which is unique in this segment. This way you and your passengers can enjoy every mile in the V-Class in safety.

EXCLUSIVE.The EXCLUSIVE equipment line reinterprets luxury in an exciting way: with refined design elements and exclusive equipment and appointments.

AVANTGARDE.A variety of functionally and visually attractive equipment increases the sportiness and exclusivity of the V-Class AVANTGARDE.

AMG Line.The combination of typical AMG elements and high-quality details enhances its sporty nature and boosts the individuality of the vehicle. The radiator grille in diamond look, the AMG light-alloy wheels, the AMG spoiler lip and the sporty design of the front and rear aprons with chrome load sill protection and side sill panels all lend a refined look to the

exterior. The sports suspension and the powerful braking system with "Mercedes-Benz" inscription deliver more responsive handling and give the vehicle a dynamic appearance. The sports pedals and AMG trim in carbon fibre look lend the interior an additional touch of class.

Comfort driver’s seat.The comfort driver’s seat can adequately accommodate persons of virtually any statureand physique and enable a comfortable seating position for long journeys. To this end,the seat can be manually adjusted in eight ways: fore/aft adjustment for the correct distance of the driver's legs to the pedals and seat height and also seat backrest and seatcushion angle adjustment for a comfortable driving position. Furthermore, the head restraint can be set by height and inclination according to the body size and comfortrequirements of the driver. A further plus in comfort is offered by the armrest on the side facing the front passenger.

Luxury seat.Relax, recover, feel good: The luxury seat indulges the rear passenger with exceptional comfort. Thanks to individually adjustable massage, seat climatisation and reclining functions, hardly any comfort wishes remain unfulfilled. The extensive adjustment options are conveniently operated from the seat via a control panel on the inside of the armrest.The luxury seat is covered in Lugano leather and is available in 2 colours.

Table package.The Table package contains many functional extras to make your stay in the vehicle rear more pleasant.Passengers can use the folding, movable table for eating a snack, workingor playing a game. Cup holders located in the side walls hold drinks securely in place. The additional practical stowage options in the nets on the backrests of the driver andfront passenger seats and on the backrests of the individual seats in the rear make the interior even more functional.And mobile devices can be connected up and charged through the 12 V socket.

Bunk package.The Bunk Package turns the three-seater bench seat in the 2nd rear seat row into a comfortable bunk in no time at all – for example for short breaks or planned overnight stays. The bed extension creates a continuous berth surface of around 1.93 x 1.35 m for the “long” vehicle body length, or 2.03 x 1.35 m for the “compact” body length. Dark-tinted glass in the rear shields resting occupants from prying eyes.

LED Intelligent Light System.The LED Intelligent Light System improves the driver's vision and thus the handling safety, as it can automatically adjust the illumination of the road surface to different driving situations. It has adaptive headlamps that can be swivelled vertically and horizontally and are variable in luminosity.The scope of equipment includes Highbeam Assist, which can help to avoid dazzling thedrivers of oncoming vehicles, and the active light function, which swivels the headlamps in the direction of the bend and thus significantly improves illumination of the road. Other functions are the country road and motorway light, which also optimise illumination of the road for the respective driving situation.

Active Brake Assist.Active Brake Assist can help to prevent accidents with vehicles in front and with crossing pedestrians or to minimise their consequences. If a danger of collision is detected, a visual and acoustic warning is first triggered. If the driver brakes, they are also supportedby the adaptive Brake Assist. If required, it provides additional braking pressure in order to avoid a collision where possible. If the driver does not respond, the system initiatesautonomous emergency braking. At low speeds this can be sufficient to prevent a rear-end collision.

Driving Assistance package.The Driving Assistance package is an intelligent combination of 4 assistance systems which take the strain off the driver and ensure driving is safer. For example they can help the driver to maintain a minimum distance from the vehicle ahead, and to be aware of any vehicle in the driver’s blind spot so as not to inadvertently move out of the lane thevehicle is in. In critical situations they can help to prevent accidents or at least lessen their impact. Here the anticipatory occupant protection system PRE-SAFE® can detect critical driving situations at an early stage and initiate preventive protection measures.

Active Parking Assist with 360° camera.The Active Parking Assist with 360° camera comprehensively relieves the strain on the driver when searching for a parking space, when entering and leaving parking spaces and also when manoeuvring. Active Parking Assist searches for suitable parking spaces and steers the vehicle automatically into parallel and end-on parking spaces. The 360°camera makes the area immediately behind the vehicle visible – including from a bird’s-eye perspective and below the window line. It thereby helps to detect any obstacles when parking or manoeuvring.

COMAND Online.The COMAND Online multimedia system leaves nothing to be desired as far on-board infotainment, navigation and communications are concerned. Fast hard-disk navigation with high-quality 3D view map display takes into account Live Traffic Information (trafficinformation in real-time, country-specific) and thus enables a dynamic route guidance with the help of which traffic jams can be avoided and travel times reduced.

Panoramic sliding sunroof.The high-quality panoramic sliding sunroof with its large glass areas allows a great deal of light into the interior, giving it a bright, welcoming feel-good atmosphere. The sliding roof in the front section can be opened electrically for additional ventilation. A two-piece electric roller blind provides convenient sun protection. The panoramic sliding sunroof measures 1900 mm x 1120 mm and has a glass surface area of more than 2 m².

9G-TRONIC.The 9G-TRONIC1 automatic transmission has nine gears which keep the engine speed as low as possible in every driving situation. The large spread of the transmission brings added agility and pulling power in almost all driving situations and improves the pulling away capability. The vibration dampers of the converter allow driving at low engine speeds and thereby help to save fuel. The strongly pronounced overdrive characteristics of the transmission contribute to keeping the engine speeds and therefore the fuel consumption low in real-life operations and at high speeds.

OM 654 DE 20 LA engine, 176 kW (239 hp).The OM654 4-cylinder diesel engine, rated at 176 kW (239 hp) delights with its extremely dynamic power delivery and exemplary efficiency as well as its low noise and vibration levels. The engine delivers its maximum torque of 500 Nm at between 1600 and 2400 rpm.This is achieved, amongst other things, by the common rail direct injection with piezo injectors and two-stage turbocharging. Overtorque technology even delivers additional torque briefly, for example, for overtaking. Thanks to a modern exhaust gas after-treatment system using an SCR catalytic converter (Selective Catalytic Reduction) and injection of AdBlue®, the engine already meets the requirements of the Euro 6d-TEMP emissions class today.
