DIRECTIONS FOR USING FONTS WITH WINPC

Before you begin in WinPC, go to the toolbar:SETTING

Then open up UNIT where you will see the following:

This is a great feature of WINPC. Now, make sure that

The upper/lowercase is checked here, inches is checked, And press OK.

NOTE: you will be sizing your fonts inside this box. This sizing takes into account the total size of a font

From the highest point to the lowest point of the letter, For instance Capital A, lower g…. just follow my chart

To make things work perfectly! ***************************************

If you own WinPC Sign 2010 with rhinestone tool, you have a great tool to make very easy rhinestone fonts from my webpage. Here are the steps:

1. close WinpcSign, and download TTF font you have purchased. 2. I always check in Font Navigator to make sure it has been downloaded properly.

3. Open my Software (Winpcsign) 4. Go to the F on the toolbar (F is for Font), and go to the TrueType Fonts, and find the

font that you just downloaded. Select it.

5. Now you are ready to type your word. It will type out as a rhinestone word. But….it is not sized correctly yet. Pull open your F (FONT TOOL BOX) and you will see a box

toward the bottom that says Height. 6. Check your Font Chart that is provided (also on website). For Winpc, your

fontname will have a numeral (size) next to it. This is the size your font was made to work perfectly with SS10 rhinestones.

Put that number in your Font Box height and press enter:

Page 3: Using Rhinestone Fonts in Winpcsign 2010

Even if you are using a lowercase font, as long as you Type in the font size in this box, it will size correctly!

Note: do not look at the height box,

as that is the height of the actual object and it will confuse you, as it does not take into consideration the font as a whole (for instance if you type a word smaller case “cow”,

this word is Going to be smaller in height than lets say COW, but

The font box will size both these words correctly, as it is sizing them for upper/lower case letters(remember, we did that at the beginning of this tutorial!)see example

Below what the height box says..

Page 4: Using Rhinestone Fonts in Winpcsign 2010

notice it sizes it smaller…

When it is actually correctly size..see below.

7.Review: Open font box, Choose your font, Type your word.Open your font box again, and size it to your WINPC chart. Now it is the correct size to continue.

See example below:

7. now…..open your rhinestone transformation tool.

8. go to size 13 stone, which is the SS10 circle size. Press on it. Open up your Paint palate, color button and pick a solid color for your stone circles, and remove the outline

by double clicking the outline X to the right of the color.

Page 6: Using Rhinestone Fonts in Winpcsign 2010

This way, the correct color will show up when you go to cut, with no “extra” outline

color.

OTHER OPTIONS: these are done BEFORE you use The rhinestone transformation tool, when your word is

In text format, after sizing it. 9. see video to find out how to change the kerning,

Page 7: Using Rhinestone Fonts in Winpcsign 2010

10. OR maybe you want to fit your text around a football or object. Create a circle, use your kerning tool to space letters line this….. (again, this is done while your word is

still in the font stage, sized correctly.)

Then….select 1st word and circle together and fit to path

kern the word REGIONAL and then…

Page 8: Using Rhinestone Fonts in Winpcsign 2010

Fit to path, bottom….

Then open transformation rhinestone tool…. And set your settings on 13, .126 stone

setting, with .035 space between stones.

Lastly, check individual stones to make sure that they are .126 (right click on height

again)

If you would like to go down to a size SS6 stone, group your design, and hit the

Page 9: Using Rhinestone Fonts in Winpcsign 2010

SS13, group again, SS12, GROUP AGAIN, SS11, GROUP AGAIN SS10, and this Should be sized at .11, for SS6 stone templates.

Notice that the stones are all sized at .11.

This Last example, I reduced the size to a little over 11 inches. I checked to see what the stone size was, and opened the transformation rhinestone tool. I found the stone size that corresponded to my size stones, and grouped my design, and pressed. Then I went up ONE size and pressed the tool, grouped, and went up one more size until I was at SS10 for cutting the ss6 template. Here is the final version with ss6 stone template.

I hope that you enjoy using these fonts as much as I enjoyed creating them!!!
