Dr. Kimberly Pellegrino completed the training for the Emotional Intelligence Game and incorporated this game into the Leadership Applications class. The EI Games Simulation addresses increased skill levels and experience within a wide range of emotional intelligence leadership characteristics. The fundamental and far-reaching learning outcome is the understanding and application of emotional intelligence and ethical business practices and the recognition they are proven more effective than any other form when it comes to leadership. The emphasis is not on the theoretical, but on readying each player to be equipped to apply these leadership skills in a practical business setting. Students are put into the role of a leader in an organizational setting and must make decisions (www.eigames.com ). They learn how to make the “optimal” emotionally intelligent decision and they lead the organization through five levels of play. Student learning outcomes include: Level 1 -- Creating a high-performing team; Level 2 -- Setting achievable and targeted goals; Level 3 -- Inspiring your team and achieving real commitment; Level 4 -- Overcoming setbacks, problems and competition; Level 5 -- Igniting your following and inspiring real change.
