TheInogenOne®G2OxygenConcentratorisusedonaprescriptivebasisbypatientsrequiringsupplementaloxygen.Itsuppliesahighconcentrationofoxygenandisusedwithanasalcannulatochanneloxygenfromtheconcentratortothepatient.TheInogenOne®G2maybeusedinhome,institution,vehicle,onanairplaneandvariousmobileenvironments.

Single and Double rechargeable Lithium Ion BatteriesThebatterywillpowertheInogenOne®G2withoutconnectiontoanexternalpowersource.Whenfullycharged,asinglebatterywillprovide2to4hoursofoperation;adoublebatterywillprovide4to8hoursofoperation.ThebatteryrechargeswhenproperlyinstalledintheInogenOne®G2andtheconcentratorisconnectedtoACorDCpower.Rechargingtimeisupto4hoursforasinglebatteryandupto8hoursforadoublebattery.Seeinformationinthe“BatteryCareandMaintenance”section.

DescriptionTheInogenOne®G2UniversalPowerSupplyisspecificallydesignedforusewiththeInogenOne®G2OxygenConcentrator(IO-200).TheUniversalPowerSupplyprovidestheprecisecurrentandvoltagerequiredtosafelypowertheInogenOne®G2andisdesignedtooperatefromspecifiedACandDCpowersources.WhenusedwithACpowersources,thepowersupplyautomaticallyadaptstoinputvoltagesfrom100Vto240V(50-60HZ)permittingusewithmostpowersourcesthroughouttheworld.

1. Place the Inogen One® G2 in a well ventilated location.Airintakeandexhaustmusthaveclearaccess.LocatetheInogenOne®G2insuchawaythatanyauditoryalarmsmaybeheard.
wArNING AvoiduseoftheInogenOne®G2inpresenceofpollutants,smokeorfumes.DonotusetheInogenOne®G2inpresenceofflammableanesthetics,cleaningagentsorotherchemicalvapors.
CAUTION Donotobstructairintakeorexhaustwhenoperatingthedevice.
Blockageofaircirculationorproximitytoaheatsourcemayleadtointernalheatbuildupandshutdownordamagetotheconcentrator.
2. Ensure the particle filter is in place.
CAUTION DonotoperatetheInogenOne®G2withouttheparticlefilterinplace.Particlesdrawnintothesystemmaydamagetheequipment.
3. Install the battery. InserttheInogenOne®G2batterybyslidingbatteryintoplaceandlockingatbottomofconcentrator.

CAUTION TheInogenOne®G2batteryactsasasecondarypowersupplyintheeventofaplannedorunexpectedlossoftheACorDCexternalpowersupply.WhenoperatingtheInogenOne®G2fromanACorDCexternalpowersupply,aproperlyinsertedInogenOne®G2batteryshouldbemaintainedintheunit.Thisprocedurewillensureuninterruptedoperationandwilloperateallalarmsandalertsintheeventofalossoftheexternalpowersupply.
NOTE TheInogenOne®G2BatteryrequiresaninitialfullchargeofuninterruptedchargingfromanemptystateusingtheInogenOne®G2ontheACpowersource.DonotruntheInogenOne®G2onbatterypoweruntilthisinitialcharginghasbeencompleted.Oncetheinitialchargeiscompleted,thebatterymaybeusedwithanyamountofchargelevel.
4. Connect the Universal Power Supply. ConnecttheACPowerplugtotheUniversalPowerSupply.ConnecttheACPowerPlugtothepowersourceandconnectthePowerOutputPlugtotheInogenOne®G2.ThegreenLEDontheUniversalPowerSupplywillbeilluminatedandabeepwillsoundfromtheconcentrator.
CAUTION EnsuretheUniversalPowerSupplyisinawellventilatedlocationasitrelies onaircirculationforheatdissipation.TheUniversalPowerSupplymaybecome hotduringoperation.MakesuretheUniversalPowerSupplycoolsdownbefore handling.
CAUTION TheUniversalPowerSupplyisnotwaterresistant.
CAUTION DonotdisassembletheUniversalPowerSupply.Thismayleadtocomponentfailureand/orsafetyrisk.
CAUTION DonotplaceanythingintheUniversalPowerSupplyportotherthanthesuppliedwallcord.AvoidtheuseofelectricalextensioncordswiththeInogenOne®G2.Ifanextensioncordmustbeused,useanextensioncordthathasanUnderwritersLaboratory(UL)Markandaminimumwirethicknessof18gauge.Donotconnectanyotherdevicestothesameextensioncord.

5. Connect the nasal cannula tubing to the nozzle fitting.NozzlefittingislocatednexttothehandleoftheInogenOne®G2.Useofasinglelumencannulaupto25feetinlengthisrecommendedtoensureproperbreathdetectionandoxygendelivery.Additionaltitrationmaybeneededtoensureproperoxygendeliverywhenusingaparticularcannula.
CAUTION Toensureoxygenflow,ensurethatthenasalcannulaisproperlyconnectedtothenozzlefittingandthatthetubingisnotkinkedorpinchedinanyway.
CAUTION Replacethenasalcannulaonaregularbasis.Checkwithyourequipmentproviderorphysiciantodeterminehowoftenthecannulashouldbereplaced.
6. Turn on your Inogen One® G2 by pressing the ON/OFF Button. AsingleshortbeepwillsoundaftertheInogenlogoisdisplayed.“PleaseWait”willappearwhiletheconcentratorstartsup.Thedisplaywillindicatetheselectedflowsettingandpowercondition.Followingabriefstart-upsequence,awarmupperiodupto2minuteswillinitiate.Duringthistimeperiodtheoxygenconcentrationisbuildingtobutmaynothavereachedspecification.AdditionalwarmuptimemaybeneededifyourInogenOne®G2hasbeenstoredinextremelycoldtemperatures.

7. Set the Inogen One® G2 Concentrator to the flow rate prescribed by your physician orclinician.Usethe+or–settingbuttonstoadjusttheInogenOne®G2tothedesiredsetting.Thecurrentsettingcanbeviewedonthedisplay.
8. Position the nasal cannula on your face and breathe through your nose. TheInogenOne®G2willsensetheonsetofinhalationanddeliveraburstofoxygenataprecisetimewhenyouinhale.TheInogenOne®G2willsenseeachbreathandcontinuetodeliveroxygeninthismanner.Asyourbreathingratechanges,theInogenOne®G2willsensethesechangesanddeliveroxygenonlyasyouneedit.Attimes,ifyouinhaleveryquicklybetweenbreathstheInogenOne®G2mayignoreoneofthebreaths,givingtheappearanceofamissedbreath.ThismaybenormalastheInogenOne®G2sensesandmonitorsthechangesinyourbreathingpattern.TheInogenOne®G2willnormallysensethenextbreathanddeliveroxygenaccordingly.
Agreenlightwillflasheachtimeabreathisdetected.Makecertainthatthenasalcannulaisproperlyalignedonyourfaceandyouarebreathingthroughyournose.
wArNING Ifyoubegintofeelillorareexperiencingdiscomfortwhileusingthisdevice,consultyourphysicianimmediately.

Youshouldbeginplanningforatripwithachecklistofitemstoremember.Thischecklistshouldinclude:

3.Theplugshouldinsertintothesocketwithoutexcessiveforceandsecurelyremaininplace.TheCigaretteLighterAdaptercomeswithaslideswitchpre-adjustedtothenarrowposition.Thiswillfitmostautomobilecigarettelightersockets.IftheCigaretteLighterAdapterislooseinthesocket,adjusttheswitchtothe"wide"position.
WARNING EnsurethattheautomobilepowersocketisadequatelyfusedfortheInogenOne®G2powerrequirements(minimum15Amp).Ifthepowersocketcannotsupporta15Ampload,thefusemaybloworthesocketmaybedamaged.
