SMDG GLOSSARY

To support the UCWG, we need to have a glossary

Should use the one Gareth has started, so…

LEARNINGS

Working in a small group is essential – discussions are

challenging with 4 or 5 in the room

Consistency is very beneficial, although adding new people

has not been too disruptive to progress

Offline work will be important to provide drafts, comments

against drafts and detail review

It is possible to produce use cases to a level of detail that is

what the manufacturers need to deliver interoperable

products

It should be possible to understand the amount of effort

needed to produce a full set of use cases within Q1 2011

NEXT STEPS

Two more ‘wet towel’ days this week – one to do a sweep up and prepare the document

Definition is close to facilitating interoperability, but may need to go to a lower level to achieve interchangeability

Present the document to SMDG SG1 next Monday – as a baselined draft, not a final version

Subject to discussion, this can be provided to SMDG for ratification of the working approach

Maintain the momentum in the New Year?

Continue with weekly sessions?

Provide a plan to clear all 20+ use cases by Mar/Apr/May(?)
