    Train and TramSouthern Cross is the nearest train

    station. Board the Tram at Stop 1-

    Spencer St/ Bourke St and take the

    Route 86 tram towards City(Docklands). Disembark at stop D3-

    Harbourside Docklands/Etihad

    Stadium/Victoria Harbour.

    BusThe bus terminus is at Southern

    Cross Train Station. A Tram can then

    be boarded to reach Central Pier.

    Everything you need to know to have a great Urbanathlon experience

    in Melbourne on Sunday 26 May, 2013.

    On the morning o the Urbanathlon, we recommend you arrive at the start area located at the NAB Forecourt(opposite Etihad Stadium) on Harbourside Esplanade at least one hour beore your allocated wave start time.

    The irst wave o the day (wave 3) will now commence at 8.00am.

    RegistrationRace Kits received by post

    Entrants who registered prior to Friday 10 May and paid to receive their race kit by mail are not required to visit theregistration tent on event morning. Please bring your race kit with you on race morning. Your race kit contains your

    Chest Bib with Timing Chip and your clothing bag sticker should you require baggage storage. I you purchased race

    kit delivery and have not received your race kit via post by Wednesday 22 May please email [email protected].

    Race kit collection on event morningMake your way to the Mens Health Urbanathlon Registration tent located opposite the start line at the NAB Forecourt

    (corner o Bourke Street and Harbour Esplanade) open rom 7am.

    Take your e-ticket to the desk that corresponds with your allocated start wave and bib number. Your original e-ticket wasemailed to you at the time o registration or you may have recently received an updated e-ticket i you registered in either

    wave 1 or 2.

    I you do not have a copy o your e-ticket, please log into your dashboard to resend it to your nominated email address.

    Alternatively email [email protected] by Wednesday 22 May requesting a copy. I you do not have your e-ticket on

    event day, you will be required to provide photo identiication in order to retrieve your race kit.

    Mens Health Urbanathlon Event T-Shirt

    I you have purchased an event T-shirt online this will now be delivered to you during event week. I your T-shirt does notarrive beore event day visit the registration tent on event morning with your e-ticket or collection.

    Chest bib, Timing and Clothing drop oPin your chest bib to the ront o your running shirt with the saety pins provided. Wearing your chest bib on the ront o your

    running shirt is mandatory throughout the event. Remember you need your chest bib to record a time so in the unlikely

    circumstance that the bib comes o at any obstacle or example you will deinitely need to retrieve it no bib, no time!

    Clothing drop oI you have clothing that you need to drop o prior to the event please use the clothing bag sticker contained in your race kit.

    You can aix this sticker to your existing bag, or you can collect a plastic bag rom the start baggage area located next to the

    Registration tent.

    PLEASE NOTE YOUR BAG WILL BE TRANSPORTED FROM THE START AREA TO THE FINISH AREA AND WILL NEED

    TO BE COLLECTED FROM THE FINISH. THE FINISH AREA BAGGAGE COLLECTION POINT WILL BE LOCATED TO THE

    LEFT OF THE MAIN STAGE, BEYOND THE FOOD STANDS.Please do not place valuables in these clothing bags. Race organisers will not take any responsibility or any lost or broken

    items. Participants store their belongings at their own risk.

    We encourage participants to wear old, warm clothes that can be discarded at the start. Any clothes discarded at the start

    area, or bags not collected on event day will be taken to a charity organisation on Monday 27 May.

    Race InormationStarting wavesAll announcements relating to wave start times and associated bib colours will be made over the PA system.

    Marshalling or each start wave will begin 15 minutes prior to the allocated start time. When your bib colour and wave start

    time has been called, please make your way to the marshalling area where you will be corralled into the start layup area.

    Marshalls will then divide participants into groups o 30 runners.

    Each wave o 30 runners will be released in 1 minute intervals. Timing headquarters will keep the oicial time clock or the

    competition. The race clock works in real time (NET time) and your result will be calculated rom when you cross the starttiming mats to when you cross the inish timing mats. This inormation will be recorded by your timing chip attached to your

    chest bib.

    The CourseThere are 10 obstacles throughout the course which must be overcome to continue the event. Note that there may be a

    small hold-up at one or two o the harder obstacles and we advise participants to be patient. Obstacles will be monitored

    by Race Control.

    It is absolutely essential in an Urbanathlon event that i and when you need to cross the streets on the course that you must

    do so in accordance with normal traic rules. Traic Controllers are at each o these locations and their instructions must

    be adhered to.

    Entrants not abiding by these rules will be automatically disqualiied and removed rom the course.

    There are three drink stations along the course at approximately 3km, 5.5km and 9km oering water. Aligned to each o

    these drink stations will be irst-aiders to assist you i required. Also on duty on the day will be irst-aiders on bikes

    monitoring the race.

    Crossing the fnish lineAter crossing the inish line collect your Urbanathlon souvenir well done you are an Urbanathlete!

    Please utilise the drink station that will be adjacent to the inish line. First aid services are located nearby i required.

    Ater UrbanathlonNo need to rush o ater you have crossed the inish line! There will be lots to do on the day and participants and supporters

    are welcome and encouraged to stay at Waterront Piazza and grab a bite to eat, enjoy the sponsor activations, and stayaround or the award presentations at approximately 10am.
