Hello friends and family! First I want to thank you for your prayers thi s last month. This has been quite the transition but we have seen God provide for our needs –yesterday Brad accepted a part-time job offer ! If this start- up company grows quickly, the hours could become f ull-time. And God provided a part-time nanny job for me! I will be taking care of a 14-month-old boy two days a week. We are looking forward to a schedule. This was my first month on Portland State’s campus! I’m getting to know my fellow staff members, the students who are involved in the movement, and the campus it self. During the week of March 14 th , we hosted “Urban Immersion”, a spring break trip forstudents and staff from Washington State University and Montana State University. There were about 22 ofthem all together. They decided to spend their spring break here in Portland, learning about the ci ty and how to share the gospel. One day, we spent a few hours sharing our faith downtown at Pioneer Place Mall. I partnered wit h Jade, a freshman from Montana State. Jade had just recently started walking wit h Jesus and had never shared her faith before so she was pretty nervous (so wa s I)! We approached a young woman in the food court and got into a conversation with her. She was Jewish but a lot of her beliefs weren’t consistent with Judaism; she thought that spiritual truth was re lative. I had the privilege of sharing the gospel with her and as I went along, she was very curious about Jesus. It was so awesome to see the look of understanding on her face as I was teaching her who Jesus truly is! She didn’t accept it but I think her eyes were opened a little.
