Linen Ministry Needs More Volunteers
The linen ministry is entrusted with the care of the
many beautiful and sacred linens used during Mass.
Volunteers are needed to help wash
and iron the purificators, corporals
and hand towels from the weekend
Masses. As our parish community
continues to grows, we are looking for
more people willing to join this

Youth Faith Formation Meet & Greet
All parents and youth are required to
attend our youth faith formation Meet
& Greet this Wednesday the 11th at
6:45pm. Food will be provided. Get to
know your new teachers for the year.
Don’t forget to turn in a copy of your child’s birth &
baptismal certificate, if you have not already done so.
Copies can be made for you in the office.
Small Faith Share Group Registration
Interested in learning more about recognizing when
the Holy Spirit is moving you? Join our small faith share
group sessions called “Moved by the Spirit”.
These groups will meet once a week for six weeks in
the homes of our parishioners who have volunteered to
be group leaders. Discussions will include Scripture,
prayer and reflection. Registration will begin after Mass
on September 7th and 8th and September 14th and
15th . Groups will begin the week of September 29th.

A Knight for Vocations
Friday, September 20, 2019, 6 p.m., Knights of
Columbus Hall, 4702 130th. Enjoy beer, wine, a BBQ
dinner, talks by Father Jacob Powell and Sister Olivia
Rico, a keynote by Bishop Robert Coerver and a raffle
with great prizes. Tickets are $30/person or $300/table
for 8. Raffle tickets are $5 donation. Knights will be
selling event tickets and raffle tickets after Mass this
weekend and the next.
Out of the Darkness Community Walk For Suicide Prevention
Join us for this year's Out of
the Darkness walk to raise
awareness about suicide. The
walk is on Sunday, September
15th at the Frazier Alumni Pavilion at Texas Tech. We
will begin walking at 3pm under team St. John the
Baptist Catholic Church, remembering all our loved ones
lost to suicide. Prayers for family members and friends
of those who died by suicide are always appreciated.

Most Rev Placido Rodriguez returns to
Lubbock to educate the public on the
Cry for Independence in Latin American
Countries referred to as El Grito. There
will be cultural dances and music
followed by the Bishop's presentation
of the Latin American flags ending with
El Grito. Sunday, Sept. 15th. 7-9:30pm
at Texas Tech’s Urbanosky Park.
