The “Kingfisher” Definitives. 1961-72 The easiest and nicest way to collect this definitive is to do it in 10 groups. If this is too expensive for your pocket then do it in 2 groups. If you do it in the 2 groups, then you sort it into the Original Design, which consists of the 13 cheapest values taken from Groups 1 to 3. The Redrawn Design consists of the 21 cheapest values taken from groups 4 to 9. Group 10 are the Coils, which come from groups 1,5,6,7, & 9. It is not absolutely essential to collect Group 10 as they are very similar to the sheet stamps, and unless you buy each value in strips of 22, or more, or you buy from a very reputable dealer, who’s total stock originates from strips of bigger than 21 you will never be sure if you are getting a genuine coil stamp or not. Instructions on how to sort out the 10 groups with the use of an Ultra Violet lamp and a watermark detector are available from me, free of charge.
