Offer a cloakroom service for a smalldonation, raffle tickets are a great waytokeep track of whose coat is whose.

Best dressed /Fancy dressAdvertise a competition for the best fancydress, hat, outfit etc. Get all entrants todonate in order to take part and provide aprize for the winner!

Everyone loves a good game, whether youdo a coconut shy, tin can alley, ring toss,lower or higher with cards or hook a duckpeople will be drawn in and will morethan likely have a few goes – especially ifthey don’t win a prize first time

DIY Photo BoothPut together some fancy dress items and abackground or frame along with a donationbox to encourage some extra donations. MRFalso have some funny face photo props –just ask us for a pack.

Request a songAsk for a small donation to request a songfrom the DJ to encourage a few extradonations.

Heads or TailsAsk your guests to pay a set amount toplay (notes work best usually). Askeveryone to stand up and for each roundeveryone must choose heads (hands onheads) or tails (hands on hips). A coin is flipped and the winners staystanding and the losers sit down. Thiscontinues until there is winner – don’tforget to give them a prize.

AuctionAsk your local shops, restaurants andbusiness to donate items, get a host tocontrol the bids and get started. It's best to advertise what items you haveup for auction to give people time toconsider what they might bid for.

Glitter StallSet up a small stall and offer to give people abit of glamour for your event for a smalldonation. We'd recommend usingbiodegradable glitter.

Quiz

Do your own bar

Have a quiz sheet that people can do in theirown time/pace and ask for a donationfor people to take part. Have a box for people to return completedsheets, mark the answers and announce thewinner at the end of the event – don’t forget aprize for the winner

Firstly you will need to get in touch withyour local government to see whether youmay need a license to sell alcohol. If permitted it can be a great way ofraising funds, make sure that you have allthe equipment– bottle openers,glasses/cups, ice, fruit etc.

Sell delicious foodIf you can organise to offer food it can bea great added extra. From a big chilli to aploughman’s platter, the opportunities areendless. If you do offer food please ensure it isprepared and cooked safely and properlystored, you don’t want anyone having apoorly tummy!

Round to the £1Ask the bar if they would be happy to offer around to the pound option for orders. You canpop some collection tins on the side for thechange to be added into.

Do a deal with the barAsk if the bar will give you a percentage oftheir takings from the night to add to yourtotal. Why not ask if they will do a special drinkwhich the profits of go towards yourfundraising total.

Guess the teddy's name

Lucky Dip

Get a teddy donated from a local business orfriends/family. Put together a list of names,pick a winning name and put the name in anenvelope. Ask people to donate to guess which namethey think is correct and get them to put theirdetails next to the name. At the end of thenight announce the winner – the prize – theteddy!

Sell Crafts

Ask your local shops/friends and family todonate small prizes, wrap them up andput them in a large container withshredded paper. Ask for a donation per dipand everyone’s a winner!

Treasure MapGet a large picture of a treasure map anddivide it into 50 – 100 squares. Choose awinning square and put the coordinates inan envelope. Ask people to pick a squareand write their details on it. Whoeverguesses the correct square wins a prize

If you’re a dab hand with painting, sewing,making candles, cards or anything inbetween why not set up a small stall andsell your items to help raise some extradonations?

TombolaAsk your local shops/friends and family todonate prizes. You can theme the tombola– bottle, tin, chocolate, toys etc. or just do alittle bit of everything. For each prize attach a raffle ticket ending ineither 5 or 0. Then fold the losing and winningtickets and add them into a box/container.Ask for a donation for per go (e.g. 25p a ticketor £1 for 5 tickets). If anyone picks a numberending in 5 or 0 give them the correspondingprize
