The time is here - the final three months of the year, and for all intents and purposes, the most important being the final month. I have always found it quite appropriate that we are able to end our year with a celebration of God. Debates and arguments aside of whether or not Jesus was actually born on the 25th of December, I still believe in the value of Christmas.

I understand that the value I place on Christmas is totally different from, for instance, a storeowner or toy manufacturer! The value of Christmas doesn't lie in the date, but rather in what that date represents. We can celebrate the goodness of God and greet one another with a heartfelt "Merry Christmas!" This is the time where we remember the sacrificial and unconditional love of a Father sending His Son to earth, and a time when we can join angel choirs proclaiming peace has come.

There are many people who refuse to hand out presents, have a Christmas tree or do anything they consider is a commercialization of Christ's birth. In our home we choose to give presents to one another, not because it is "the thing to do" but because we consider ourselves to be

the hands of God. Amazingly God chose to use us for His glory, to spread good news throughout the world through our mouths, and to touch the broken-hearted through our hands! We are His feet, hands, touch, grace and love to all people around us. Handing out gifts at Christmas is simply an extension of this. We surround ourselves with all kinds of decorations (including fake pine trees), good food, and intimate family times filled with laughter and joy. Not only do these express our joy at life, but it also celebrates the joy of God.

Christmas is not about us, but it is about Christ. The 'merry' in our greeting is not about a drunken party, but it is about the joy of the Lord that is our strength! So, may I wish you and your family a blessed and merry Christmas, as you celebrate the goodness of God. May you come to see this Christmas, and all the Christmases yet to come, that you are important to God, and that you have a significant part to play in His purpose for this earth. May you become the love, joy and peace to a world that is desperately seeking salvation. May you experience His joy, not only this December, but for the years ahead!

James tells us that we often ask and have not, because we ask amiss. That means there is both a correct and appropriate way to exercise our faith when we pray and bring our needs before the Lord, as well as an incorrect or inappropriate way. In our earlier discoveries concerning faith, we’ve seen some of the things that could very well cause our prayers to be fruitless, and prevent our faith from working and appropriating what the Word says is ours to have and enjoy.

If you’ve been asking and believing the Lord for a breakthrough in your life, but feel as though your prayers have fallen short of reaching heaven, we are here to encourage you, and perhaps answer why your faith just doesn’t seem to be working.

Two factors that could be neutralising your faith and making it inactive are doubt and an incorrect perspective of God and His Word. Since we’ve established that God desires to see us blessed and walking in the fullness of all His promises; we must conclude that the problem with our faith not working doesn’t lie with Him.

We believe the problem lies with us not understanding certain principles in His Word that activate our faith instead of crippling or making it ineffective. There are two important truths we should pay attention to before we come to the Lord in prayer - the first one being obedience!

The Bible teaches that even if we do have faith, and speak God’s words over our situations, if we are not obeying God’s voice, whether it be His spontaneous, rhema Word in our spirits, or His written Word, we won’t receive what we ask for.

In John 14 and 15, Jesus clearly says we must be vitally connected to Him, to the point where His Word must be alive in our hearts and we must obey it, if we want to see what we ask for. A living, intimate relationship with Jesus certainly involves obedience to His Word. If we aren’t doing this, He says we have no right to expect anything from Him.

We are so quick to say we love the Lord and profess Him to be on the throne of our hearts, but Jesus makes no qualms about what His opinion of that statement really means.

John 14:21, 23 “The person who has My commands and keeps them is the one who [really] loves Me; and whoever [really] loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I [too] will love him and will show (reveal, manifest) Myself to him. [I will let Myself be clearly seen by him and make Myself real to him.] ... If a person [really] loves Me, he will keep My word [obey My teaching]; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home (abode, special dwelling place) with him.”

In John 15:7 Jesus says, “If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you.”

There it is, loud and clear - loving God is far more than lip service, it’s a daily decision to invest in a living relationship with Jesus, through His indwelling Holy Spirit, where His Word and ways become our own. When they do, we are guaranteed that whatever we ask, will be done for us - it’s that simple.

His Word must be alive in our hearts

As children of God, we have power and authority over the devil. And we are to use that power and authority for good…and for service to others. That almost sounds like something you could say about a superhero, doesn’t it?

It reminds me of a letter I once received from a woman, telling me about her four-year-old son and his cousins playing together one day. They were all pretending to be superheroes. One of them exclaimed, “I’m Superman!” Another said, “I’m Superwoman!” And this lady said her son proudly wielded his imaginary sword and proclaimed, “I’m Joyce Meyer!”

What a compliment to the Christ in me! That child saw something in me that he thought was “super” and wanted to imitate! What he saw is simply a result of the work God has done in my life through His Holy Spirit. And isn’t it interesting that while the other kids’ superhero gear included a cape, his little weapon was a sword! (See Ephesians 6:17.)

We are often referred to as soldiers in the Word of God. Soldiers are well trained in combat; they carry all kinds of offensive, as well as defensive equipment, and are taught to be vigilant, alert, and aware.

No matter whether we view ourselves like soldiers or superheroes or whatever, our warfare is spiritual. And our weapons and armor are also spiritual.

Doing Warfare God’s Way

In this spiritual war, we fight on the battlefield of the mind. Every day we are subjected to unrelenting attacks in our thoughts, such as worry, fear, doubt and other concerns. The devil is behind many of our problems, and some we create ourselves.

But Ephesians 6:11 tells us to “put on the full armor of God, so that [we] can take [our] stand against the devil’s schemes” (NIV). Our thoughts are very important in this warfare…what we think of ourselves as well as what we think of others or of our circumstances. The reason is that “our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” (v. 12).

So, while the devil may have power, we have the power and authority of Jesus Christ at work in us by His Holy Spirit. Our job is to get to know God for ourselves - get to know who we are in Him and the

power that is available to us through Him. We need to learn how to follow the Holy Spirit, because He wants to lead us in our individual battles according to what is right for each of us. The truth is God is on our side, and that already makes us more than conquerors in Him! (See Romans 8:31, 37.)

What to Wear to Battle

In this war, there’s both offensive and defensive equipment. With our weapons we fight the enemy. And we are protected from him by our armor. Both are vitally important to our success.

Colossians 3:12-14 (NIV) says, “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”

These verses reveal the weapons and armor of our spiritual warfare. We defeat the enemy’s tactics every time we forgive instead of hold a grudge…every time we have patience with someone rather than rush them…every time we speak with humility rather than arrogance.

Ephesians 4:25 says to “put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor….” Verse 31 goes on to say, “Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.” These are things that will hinder and weigh us down in life - and certainly a spiritual battle.

The Battle Plan

To win our battles, we have to learn to cooperate with the Holy Spirit as He leads us, according to His purpose and plan for our lives. Practically speaking, we do this as we commit to seeking God in prayer and by studying His Word, and then choosing to trust what He says above and beyond anything else. That means we believe the Truth of who God is and His promises to us in the Bible no matter what our circumstances look like, what we feel, or what lies the enemy is trying to put in our mind.

So, tighten up your belt of Truth (Ephesians 6:14). In other words, learn the truth of God’s Word, especially what His Word says about you. Then do what you know to do…what you can do…and

God will do what you can’t. Don’t be so concerned about how everything will work out; just trust God to do what’s right for you!

When we look at the Word of God in Habakkuk 2:2-3 (NKJV), it says: “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”

I really do believe that in this time of lockdown, when a pandemic seems to be running rampant, we really need to keep the vision. We need to be specific and we need to really seek the Lord for His absolute plan for our lives. This is not a time to be like the waves of the sea as we see in the Book of James, being tossed to and fro (James 1:6). We need to keep the course; because if we don’t we will surely flounder, and we will eventually sink.

It’s like sitting on the top of a hill, watching a man with a chainsaw cutting trees down in the forest, but he is cutting around in circles. When he looks at the one sitting on top of the hill, that man sees clearly and can be directed in the path that he must follow. In our lives, the one sitting on top of the hill is Jesus Christ, and the man cutting with the chainsaw is you and me. If we do not follow the explicit instruction of the Lord, we will fail. That is what scripture teaches us in Proverbs 29:18, when it says, “Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint” (NKJV).

We really need to keep ourselves disciplined. We need to “cross the t’s and dot the i’s”…and carry on, taking one day at a time. That is how you get through any crisis situation. We need to

be steadfast; we need to keep our eyes fixed on the Lord Jesus Christ, and He will direct us right through this very awkward time where many seem to not know what is going on or where they are going. Even international leaders of nations…they have no idea; they change their attitude and their ideas daily. It can be very disheartening; and it can cause a lot of unnecessary fear, stress and heartache - especially if you do not stick to your game plan.

Remember what Smith Wigglesworth said, “God said it; I believe it; and that settles it!” That is exactly how we need to conduct ourselves at this time and the Lord will see us right through to the other side.

Do not worry, do not stress. Have good quiet times; get up early in the morning; spend lots of time with your family; and just do what you have been doing in the past. There is no need for you to try and reinvent the wheel at this stage in your life.

Godmothers. Pause for a moment and consider what comes to mind when you think of one. Perhaps you immediately thought of fairies or mobsters...but did you consider the fact that you could be one? Godmothers are not a new idea, but I believe it’s time they become a renewed one.

The role of godparents originated in the first-century church when persecution raged, and believers were scattered abroad. It was a time when churches met in homes and community and connection mattered more than programs and performances. It was a time when life happened around a table and individuals were woven into a beautiful tapestry of love and interdependence with one another.

One of the beauties of godparents was that they wanted more for their godchildren than they had experienced themselves. They were way makers, creating pathways for successive generations to follow. And as they journeyed together, sharing stories of both triumph and trial, both generations grew in faith and strength.

We need these types of connections again. The truth is: we all have gaps in our lives. Generally speaking, a gap describes the difference or distance between the way things are and the way they should be, which is why we are so important to each other. The gaps we have in our

faith, relationships, careers, marriages, and even parenting were designed to be filled by each other.

Godmothers help us fill in the gaps.

So, before we delve into what’s involved in becoming a godmother, there are a few things I want to make clear. First, godmothers aren’t perfect. It doesn’t matter how messy your life is - there is something in it that others need. Lovely one, just begin with where you are! And the last point I want to make before moving on is that you don’t have to know everything to offer something. There’s more in you to offer others than you realize.

With that being said, let’s explore 7 ways you can begin to engage as a godmother.

1. Be AwarePray and ask God the Father to open your eyes to see your potential goddaughters, wherever they may be. Here is a secret I’ve discovered: Goddaughters hide in plain sight, hoping someone sees them. They are all around us. But it will require discernment - seeing others through God’s perspective.

2. AcknowledgeWhen you see goddaughters, respond to them. Recently I was in the ladies’ room and I noticed a young woman looking my way. I smiled, and it

wasn’t long before she came up to me to share how my books had touched her life. Right there and then, we hugged and connected. Easy. But what if I had looked away or sent the message that I couldn’t be bothered? Without knowing it, I’d be undermining the seeds I’d sown in her life. We’re being watched. May we be found watching also.

3. Be EngagedAsk, “How can I help?” Some will respond to your invitation; others will not. That’s okay; you’re not responsible for their response. You’re responsible to simply offer. Some will be ready to hear from you; others may come back to you in another season. But sometimes, the best way to connect is to ask them for help. There have been a number of girls I’ve mentored by simply inviting them into my world so that they can do life alongside me.

4. Be AvailableMake yourself available. Your time is one of the greatest gifts you can give. I have goddaughters I rarely see in person, but we speak on the phone, text and, whenever we can, connect in person.

5. Be AuthenticDon’t say one thing and live another. That’s fake. Goddaughters are not looking for us to be more than we are; they need us to be more than they are. Authentic means faithful, reliable, honest, and genuine. Those qualities are much more attractive than being “cool.”

6. Be ActiveBe engaged on an interactive level. Liking a photo engages with someone’s social platform, which is good, but picking up the phone and calling someone engages them. Open your home to teach something you’re good at. Think of something you’d be confident sharing, and simply host daughters. These gatherings don’t need to be limited to a Bible study; you could share about marriage, gardening, or even food - who knows, maybe I’ll do a pesto class simply because I love it!

7. Be an AdvocateWe all need people in our lives who encourage us, because discouragement has reached epidemic levels. Part of encouraging others is moving their feet in the right direction. It is confronting what is off course while celebrating what is on track. Never underestimate the strength your voice can lend to those around you.

We need godmothers and godfathers to help the sons and daughters learn how to work together rather than compete and fight. We live in a day

when many are looking for gaps rather than for ways to close them. And yet the words of Jesus speak of better things. He tells us that amid all the strife there will be those who make peace.

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. (Matt. 5:9, KJV)

It is time for us to live in such a way that this could be said of us. What if people began to look at you and me and whisper: “Did you see that? Did you hear her? Did you feel that? There goes a child of God.”

The Message translation says it this way: “You’re blessed when you can show people how to cooperate instead of compete or fight. That’s when you discover who you really are, and your place in God’s family” (Matt. 5:9 MSG).

Do you hear this? We discover who we really are by helping others. We discover our place in God’s family by making peace. As we do this, we discover our purpose and place.

Here is what I want godmothers to be known for:

You’ll use the old rubble of past lives to build anew; rebuild the foundations from out of your past. You’ll be known as those who can fix anything, restore old ruins, rebuild and renovate, make the community liveable again. (Isaiah 58:12, MSG)

As we begin to fill in the gaps, making peace and restoring what has been broken, we’ll leave a legacy that endures. One that will replenish life to our communities and position the generations that follow to go farther than we’ve gone ourselves.

To move forward with God, we must welcome change. The Lord declares, “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert” (Isaiah 43:18–19 NKJV).

When God brings promotion into our lives, it is often preceded by a process of preparation. This process is necessary to help us let go of what God has done so that we can embrace what He wants to do next.

Change that God initiates is not easy, but it’s always beneficial for our growth and maturity. Often, we resist change because it affects our comfort level. That’s why the question many wrestle with is: Why does it take difficult or dry times to bring about change?

We certainly are creatures of habit who can become set in our ways. Once these patterns are established, it is uncomfortable to adjust them. But if we are to step into the fullness of what God has planned for us, we must be willing to leave our

comfort zone and pursue the way that God’s Spirit leads. This path will often take us through what the Bible refers to as a wilderness. This is where God causes new life to spring forth.

In the late 1980s, I held a position of youth pastor for a large church in Orlando, Florida. This was my first real teaching ministry. After several years as a youth pastor, the Spirit of God told me that change was coming: “You will be removed from being youth pastor,” He said, “and I will send you to churches and conferences in cities from the east coast to the west coast of America; from the Canadian border to the Mexican border; to Alaska and Hawaii...”

I told Lisa what the Spirit had said, and the two of us pondered all this in our hearts, not sharing it with anyone else except a pastor friend in a different state. God said He would do it, and I knew that if it was truly Him speaking, I wouldn’t have to help God make it happen.

But nothing happened for over a year. During this waiting period, I was spending more time in prayer than ever before - even though my times of prayer

felt dry and difficult. Not only that, the original vision I had for the youth ministry seemed to be fading away. On top of it all, we went through internal and external trials like we had never experienced before. I began to confess every sin I could recall that I might have committed, believing that perhaps I had hidden sin in my life - but there was still no release from the dryness I was experiencing.

One day while seeking God for answers, the Lord said to me, “You are not in this desert because you have sinned! I’m preparing you for the change that is coming.” God was developing within me the character I needed to handle the responsibility of the coming phase of ministry. He

was also preparing me to let go of my present season by causing me to become unsettled. And without the necessary shaking, most of us could miss the new thing God wants to do. Eventually, God brought the change He promised. Looking back, I can see that the Lord was preparing to birth our ministry to America and eventually the nations.

My friend, if you find yourself in a wilderness season, be encouraged. God has not abandoned you and He is not punishing you. God is preparing you!

Hebrews 11:7 (Amplified Bible): By faith [with confidence in God and His word] Noah, being warned by God about events not yet seen, in reverence prepared an ark for the salvation of his family. By this [act of obedience] he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness which comes by faith.

When you read the accounts of Noah in the Bible, you’ll realise that he was a man who was protected during the terrible crisis that hit the entire world in his time. When the floods covered the earth, sweeping every man, beast and livelihood, Noah and his family were floating above the waves of destruction. Although this kind of crisis was God’s sovereign will to get rid of sin, it came to many as a surprise - especially those who were not connected to God and were disobedient to His will (see Genesis 6-10).

At this very moment, our world has been affected and some infected by a global outbreak. The pandemic that has claimed many lives and is threatening to cause a global recession. Just like in the days of Noah - when the floods covered the

entire world - this virus has surfaced throughout many nations. While the search is being carried out ceaselessly to develop a vaccine, there is but one avenue that I believe is sometimes overlooked or is yet to be explored by the world. One, that is readily available to restore what the world has lost and can bring divine health to those infected. Although this may sound too good to be true, the truth is: all the answers that we need to life’s questions can be obtained from God. Answers that can preserve all from the effects and the aftermath of this crisis!

You might have wondered what it took for Noah to overcome the raging floods when the entire world around him didn’t. A reading through our opening text reveals the secret to his preservation. Firstly, he was a man of faith - he was found to be a man who was living righteously. Hence his name is recorded among individual who were the hallmark of what it means to have faith in God. Secondly, he had an intimate relationship with God; that is, he could hear the voice of God clearly. And thirdly, he was obedient and heeded the instructions that God gave him. He faithfully followed the blueprint that God gave him and this pleased God.

God protected him, his entire family and all God’s creations entrusted to him.

Noah’s story relates to us in so many ways…if you look closely to how he overcame, you realise that the same rule still applies to us today. You see, our faith in God doesn’t have to change just because we are living in the 21st century. The same faith that the saints of old exercised to receive correlating results, is still applicable to us - even now. When we can heed instructions from the Lord, we will have the same outcome. We can have faith that can overcome this crisis. God is still speaking to us even with His Word. He is still giving instruction that awaits our obedience.

I adamantly believe that our faith in God and obedience to His Word can preserve us.

This season of uncertainty that we are faced with, necessitates that we change our perspective and apply wisdom. We have witnessed how the worldly institutions have been challenged with controlling the impact of this pandemic. We have seen the rise of confusion in governmental entities. This alone

shows us that, what we need will not come from mere human intellect, but God’s intervention. The world needs to know that great victory comes from knowing God. The effects caused by this virus, no matter how tragic, cannot wipe us away when we are covered and protected by the covenant promises in the Word of God.

Noah was sustained by his faith - this is the ultimate lesson we can extract from this text. He took a stand for his household and they were all saved. Those who perished during his time, perished because sin was their destruction. Whilst Noah was obediently applying God’s principles, they were busy with worldly things. They did the opposite of what Noah did. They did not have faith in God; they were disobedient and living sin- driven by evil passions. The Word of God says that it is not God’s will for anyone to perish (2 Peter 3:9). As a matter of fact, God is eagerly waiting for us to come to the knowledge of who we are in Him.

Evidently, only our faith in God is going to help us overcome and be triumphant against every obstacle that we may have to face in this world. The principles set in the Word of God still produce the same results and have an inherent ability to protect us, our family and the possessions God entrusted to us.

An important lesson for anyone trying to share a message that matters...If writing seems hard, it’s because it is hard. It’s one of the hardest things people do. – William Zinsser

This post isn’t just for writers; it’s for anyone who’s sharing an important message or story. But let me start with a writing illustration, because I’m reading two books right now. One is an incredibly compelling story, but the book is dry and boring so it’s been a struggle to get through it. The second book isn’t that interesting a story, but the writer is a masterful storyteller and it’s a joy to read.

As a Christian creator, we are often telling powerful stories. In fact, the Bible alone is a treasure-trove of life-changing material. When I hear from screenwriters or authors, in most cases, the narrative they’re telling is terrific.

The problem is: they’re not telling it very well.

Novelist William Faulkner said, “Read, read, read. Read everything - trash, classics, good and bad, and see how they do it. Just like a carpenter who works as an apprentice and studies the master. Read! You’ll absorb it. Then write. If it’s good, you’ll find out. If it’s not, throw it out of the window.”

Whether you’re a writer, artist, filmmaker, preacher, teacher, leader, or anything else, my advice to Christian creators is to worry less about the story itself and spend more time on becoming a master storyteller. Learn how the principles of storytelling change depending on the medium you’re using to tell that story.

Most of all learn technique. If you’re a writer of any kind, take the time to learn how to write. I can’t tell you how many people want to be writers but

“don’t have the time” to take a writing class. The same goes for would-be filmmakers and artists who won’t take the time to learn visual storytelling or speakers who aren’t continually studying to become better.

Learning technique isn’t easy. It takes work and sometimes it’s a slog. But the rewards are worth every hour you spend behind the scenes in study.

Otherwise, the best advice comes from Dorothy Parker: “If you have any young friends who aspire to become writers, the second greatest favour you can do them is to present them with copies of The Elements of Style. The first greatest, of course, is to shoot them now, while they’re happy.”

Back in the day, I grew up in a world of dress codes. At one time, universities had them, high schools had them, and many offices had them. But at some point, America became much more casual, and for most organizations, dress codes became a thing of the past. Today, dress codes are most prevalent on Wall Street or with legal firms. Certainly I would support dress codes in certain situations (you don’t want your marketing director showing up in a Speedo) but the truth is the world has become more casual.

If you’re thinking about instituting a dress code (or currently have one), here’s a few questions I would ask:

• Where are you drawing the line? In a world where billionaires wear blue jeans to the office, should we require coats and ties?

• What’s the point? What are you trying to convey through a dress code? Today, people

look at the bottom line. If your business, non-profit, ministry or church is effective, who cares? Success is far more important than a tie.

• Who are you trying to impress? In the case of business, is it older investors? In the case of non-profits, is it older donors? The fact is today, even people in their 80’s are the rock and roll generation who grew up listening to Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, and Led Zeppelin. Trust me - wearing a t-shirt and jeans won’t offend them.

I’m not against dress codes in all situations, but I do suggest you really think about it. Today we live in a more casual culture, and in many cases, dress codes only make you look out of date and irrelevant.

If you’re a creative professional then you probably know the importance of having a great biography. A resume will always be important, but for creative people - particularly in entertainment and media - people want to hear your story. A solid bio, along with a updated resume can go a long way toward getting your next job. So here’s a list of things you should consider when you sit down to write your personal bio:

1) Mention Your accomplishments, but don’t go over the top. Don’t be afraid to share the story of your major career accomplishments - but don’t limit it. A great bio is the story of your life, so include your personality and non-job experiences that have made you who you are. This isn’t the time to be shy, however, be careful not to push things too far. Don’t make it dull, but keep it accurate and believable.

2) Focus on your One Big Thing. In my book “One Big Thing: Discovering What You Were Born to Do” I encourage readers to stop being average at many things and become extraordinary at One Big Thing. While having wide experience can be important, employers are looking for expertise. Tailor your story to the area where you are amazing. You can order my book to find out more.

3) Write your bio for a specific audience. I’ve used numerous bios and resumes over the years - not because I’m lying, but because different organizations are looking for different things. Whatever your area of expertise, an advertising agency is different from a TV Network, web company, movie studio, non-profit, or church. You may be a writer, but different organizations are looking for different experience, perspectives, and skill. At the very least, I would have different bios and resumes for 3 big categories - non-profits, businesses, and churches.

4) Keep it short and sweet. You’re not writing a novel, so you don’t have to tell everything. Keep your story to what a particular employer would be interested in - mostly having to do with the position you’re applying for, and your area of expertise. Make them want more instead of getting bored and tossing it.

5) Don’t fake it. In a digital world, it’s just too easy to find out the truth. You’re creative, so don’t be bland. Emphasize your strengths, but never lie. Plus - you never know who your employers might be friends with. I once interviewed a candidate who said he was the Communications Director for a major church. I happened to know the pastor, so I made a phone call only to discover that not only wasn’t he the Communications Director, but in fact he had been a very low level member of the team.

6) Have some fun! Make your bio worth reading. Take a fun approach to your accomplishments and previous jobs. Poke a little fun at yourself. Sometimes a little self-deprecating humour shows your humility - which is never a bad thing.

Ultimately, your biography isn’t about bragging rights, it’s about credibility. Creativity is about telling great stories, so use your storytelling skill to help you land your next job!

the album called “Toivonlauluja” (Songs of hope) with several other artists.Her songs have been in several collections of albums and she has recorded, collaborated and performed with many famous Finnish artists; such as Teleks, Robin, Chisu, Jenni Vartiainen andrap artist-Mikael Gabriel with the song called “Kipua” (“Pain”) that has over 8 million watching times on youtube.

Now Kristiina works together with multi-talented tenor, composer and a choir leader Ossi Jauhiainen. In April they released the song and music video called “Praise to Jesus” and more gospel music is coming. Kristiina and Ossi are on gospel tour in Finland November 2018 with the American gifted gospel singer Everett W. Miller.

Ossi Jauhiainen graduated from Sibelius academy (master of music) in 2004. He works as a church musician in Kuopio's Alava parish and got director cantus honorary title 2017. His conducted Alava church choir was chosen as “the music group of the year” 2018 by The Finnish church music society.

Ossi Jauhiainen has done several tenor roles in operas and classical church music pieces. He is also professional voice coach and choir leader. He hasworked with many famous Finnish artists in different genres from classical to pop music as a singer, composer, arrenger, pianist, organist and choir leader.
