x 3Predict:
What do you think this line of code means
to the robot?
x 3The robot would do this set of actions 3 times in a row:Move Right, Move Down,
Color the Square
x 3They make our code
simpler, and easier to follow!
• Each class at East Vincent has been given a different 5-by-5 grid design. You must work together as a class to write an algorithm to create your design.
• We will then put all the designs together to make one big picture. What do you think the big picture will be?
• Write your code in small chunks, and test each chunk to make sure it’s right before you move on.
• Don’t get discouraged if you make a mistake! Programmers can’t give up. They must find the bugs (mistakes) in the code and figure out how to fix them.
Teachers:
• You can the electronic version to create and test your class’s code. If you’d rather, you can make copies of the hardcopy version to use for creating/testing your code instead.
• Final copies should be copied onto the hardcopy sheets.
• Color matters! Use red (6th grade: blue) crayons for your final copy.
