NATIONAL ACADEMY OF TELEVISION ARTS AND SCIENCES ANNOUNCES WINNERS AT THE 33rd ANNUAL NEWS & DOCUMENTARY EMMY ® AWARDS Univision Anchors Jorge Ramos and Maria Elena Salinas Receive Lifetime Achievement Award New York, N.Y. – October 1, 2012 – Winners of the 33rd Annual News and Documentary Emmy ® Awards were announced tonight by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS). The News & Documentary Emmy ® Awards were presented at a ceremony at Frederick P. Rose Hall, Home of Jazz at Lincoln Center, located in the Time Warner Center in New York City. The event was attended by more than 900 television and news media industry executives, news and documentary producers and journalists. Emmy ® Awards were presented in 42 categories, including Breaking News, Investigative Reporting, Outstanding Interview, and Best Documentary, among others. “The journalists, documentarians and organizations we honor this evening are the very best in broadcast journalism” said Malachy Wienges, Chairman, NATAS. “In these times of on-going war, economic instability, and the upcoming presidential election, I cannot think of more important work. In addition, it’s a great pleasure to honor Jorge Ramos and Marie Elena Salinas of Univision’s nightly news broadcast with our Lifetime Achievement Award. New York, N.Y. – October 1, 2012 – Winners of the 33rd Annual News and Documentary Emmy® Awards were announced tonight by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS). The News & Documentary Emmy® Awards were presented at a ceremony at Frederick P. Rose Hall, Home of Jazz at Lincoln Center, located in the Time Warner Center in New York City. The event was attended by more than 900 television and news media industry executives, news and documentary producers and journalists.
