EDUCATION
Foster School of BusinessStudents are provided with exclusive access to distinguished faculty members at the Foster School of Busi-ness, consistently ranked as one of the top 30 business schools in the world. Lead by our experienced team of instructors, students are guided through a variety of interactive workshops designed to teach key busi-ness fundamentals and prepare for successful careers.

This customized course is designed as an innovative introduction to business learning and culture, encour-aging students to recognize cultural differences, develop critical thinking abilities, and explore internation-al career opportunities.
Interactive lectures discuss the concept of value in a product, service, or business. Students will investigate how businesses create value through building and investing, and how perception of value changes with the surrounding culture. Classroom activities help students to explore Cross Cultural Business Communi-cations, Leadership, Creativity and Innovation, Negotiation Tactics, Strategic Brand Marketing, Presentation Skills, US Business Culture, and International Business.

EDUCATION
Company ToursStudents will be provided with private, interactive company tours and networking opportunities with local industry executives. Corporate visits are an unparalleled way for our students to meet with professionals from varying industries who can provide insight into global business cultures, and can help to prepare them for successful international careers. Past student groups have visited many Fortune 500 companies including Microsoft, Amazon, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Expedia, Starbucks, and Boeing.
Career WorkshopsThe program includes a variety of executive guest speakers, discussing traditional and forward looking ca-reer opportunities. Instructed by a diverse group of experienced professionals, students will gain perspec-tive over the day to day lives of today’s industry leaders.
Creativity, Action, Service CreditsFor students currently enrolled in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma program, this program of-fers an array of opportunities to participate in Creativity, Action, and Service activities.
Business Case Competition Our favorite part of the program! Student groups go head to head as international executives throughouta multi-day business case competition. This comprehensive simulation examines the analysis and decisionmaking process a CEO goes through every day, and reflects on how these decisions impact the company’sultimate goals.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This program is comprised of ambitious students from around the world who
share a passion for business. Students will learn together side by side, prepar-ing for successful international careers
through the development of inter-cul-tural communication skills.
We provide hands-on opportunities for students to practice team building in a
supported environment. By exploring various leadership concepts and im-proving communication skills, this pro-
gram will enhance student’s ability to build the right team, embrace change,
and overcome challenges.
We provide our students with an incred-ible variety of sight-seeing attractions,
tours, and once in life-time experiences throughout the city of Seattle. Some of our student’s favorite events include the
Seattle Space Needle, the Savor Seattle Food Tour, our ultimate Gameworks
Party, and Indoor Skydiving!

Group Events and Activities
Students will attend 15 days of class throughout the program, learning from qualified, professional, and experienced instructors.
Students will live in the University of Washington student residence halls along with Ex-perience America chaperons that will be supervising the group at all times.
Students will be provided with three meals a day at the University of Washington restau-rants. The restaurants feature cuisines from around the world and can accommodate ev-ery type of dietary preferences or restrictions.
Experience America will pick students up directly from the airport, provide them with transportation to all scheduled group activities, and safely return students to the airport at the end of the program.
Students will visit with varying professionals through company tours and faculty presen-tations. Professors and business executives will participate in open group discussions, an-swering any questions students may have regarding their profession, industry, or experi-ences.
Students will receive a personal smart phone. This device can be used throughout the pro-gram for unlimited local calls, text and data. Student phones will have contact information for our program hosts to ensure seamless communication throughout the program.
Once safely arrived, Experience America provides students with an extended orientation in order to ensure they feel comfortable in their new surroundings and confident interact-ing with local students.
We take pride in offering an inclusive experience, with fun, guided, and safe activities throughout our programs. These include city tours, sight-seeing tourist attractions, guid-ed outdoor activities, and community volunteering.
A closing ceremony is held at the end of a program. The closing ceremony includes a for-mal dinner with students, instructors and the Experience America team. Certificates, priz-es, and awards are also presented during the celebrations.
Experience America is incredibly dedicated to providing an unmatched support network. Our dedicated staff are always on hand to guide students through all events and to make sure they feel comfortable and welcome through the entire experience. Our staff mem-bers are on call 24 hours a day to provide assistance of any kind.

All students must be a minimum of 16 years of age as of July 12, 2014.
This year we are awarding two of our most ambitious students with half-scholarships ($2,250). Successful applicants will receive their scholarship prize after tuition has been received through the online program registration. Scholarships will be awarded to students who have demonstrated a dedication to:

Day Program Option Available to Local Residents: $3,400There is also a day program option available to local residents who do not require overnight accommo-dation. This program includes all services discussed on the “Student Services” page except for overnight accommodation, breakfast, and dinner (lunch is still included). Day option students will be a part of the program from 9am to 6pm every weekday, as well as for all scheduled weekend events.
