ULM students enjoy ourbeautiful campus located on Bayou DeSiard.

Students have the opportunity to join a variety of campus organizations such as Student Government Association and Campus Activities Board. Students can also get involved in Greek organizations, intramural sports, spirit groups, and work study programs. Throughout the year, students can enjoy multiple opportunities for an engaging collegiate experience such as taking advantage of $1 lunches, kayaking on the bayou, free concerts, and plays put on by VAPA, and free admission to all Warhawk athletic events.

My favorite spot on campus is the 5th floor of the library. It has the perfect view of the bayou and is a great place to study.

My unusual ULM experience was participating in the first-ever Talon Tunnel at my first home football game.

After graduation, I plan to work as a pediatric nurse while studying to become a Nurse Practitioner.

My proudest accomplishment of my first year was learning to balance my academics, social life, and extracurricular activities.

ULM is a scenic, vibrant community designed around the university student lifestyle.

Through recent renovations and new construction, campus living at ULM offers a blend of housing options including apartments, suites, and traditional residence halls. Additionally, the all-inclusive package plus the convenience of living on campus allows you to focus on what is important... being part of a great university!

Getting accepted into the Provisional Entry Program (PEP) for Pharmacy School.

Being called by my first name in a chemistry class with over 80 people when I raised my hand for a question. You don’t get that kind of attention at other universities.

Dr. Richard Thurlkill. He makes a wonderful effort to get to know every student personally and will do whatever it takes for you to succeed.

After graduation I plan to work at a large metropolitan hospital as a clinical pharmacist.

ULM students get the best of what both Monroe and West Monroe, Louisiana have to offer.

In your time away from campus, you can enjoy The River Market, Downtown Art Crawls, Biedenharn Museum & Gardens, Duck Commander, Landry Vineyards, and so much more. You can also dine at unique restaurants like Cotton, Enoch’s Irish Pub and Café, and Nonna. Plus, whether it’s the Celtic Festival or Monroe’s Dirty South Marathon Event, you have multiple opportunities to stay active and entertained.

I like to live out my high school glory days by getting involved in intramurals at ULM. My friend and I brought out our competitive side when we heard about canoe races on campus. We didn’t win, but we had a blast!

My favorite spot on campus is any view that I have of the Library, and especially when I’m sitting on the dock. The reflection of the bayou and sunset on the beautiful mirror like windows is breathtaking.

Dr. Tammy Johnston. I’ve never seen her without a smile on her face. She cares so deeply for all of her students.

I love spending time in the Grove with my closest friends on football game day, and then cheering the Warhawks on to victory!

With a student-teacher ratio of 18:1, students are able to feel comfortable in an interactive, quality learning environment.

ULM offers a variety of exciting fields of study with new and innovative technologies, ensuring that academic offerings are constantly evolving in order to excel in today’s workplace and society. Professors are enthusiasts who love to share their passion for their fields of study as much as their passion for the university. The classroom becomes a place of exploration, discovery, and success.

Definitely getting involved with the high school recruitment efforts by ouruniversity. Being a part of the PREP Orientation Program for the past two years has shaped me, challenged me, and humbled me.

Fried Chicken Wednesday in Schulze Cafeteria!

In my hammock next to Bayou DeSiard’s foot bridge. It’s not every day you can relax on the bayou right after classes!

ULM gave me the opportunitiesI needed to become a better leader.

Starbucks. Their cappuccinos make studying so much easier!

Making breakfast. I love getting up early and making pancakes before my first class. It’s a happy way to start the day.

My proudest accomplishment was running in the Up Til’ Dawn 5K. After training at the activity center, I was so proud to push myself to the finish line.

Biggest challenge?

Perfect Day?

After graduation?

I love Saturdays in November because I get to enjoy tailgating around a small fire pit in the Grove before a Warhawk football game.

After receiving a bachelor’s degree in biology, I plan to attend dental school where I want to specialize in orthodontics.

Managing my time wisely between having a social life, making good grades, and being involved outside of the classroom.

I couldn’t live without myadvisor because he knows my goals for my future and he wants me to succeed.
