Internship at University of Louisiana-Monroe

Upon completion of my graduate studies, I had to fulfill my coursework by interning or completing a practicum before graduation at Grambling State University. Since my degree will be M.Ed with the concentration of Sport Administration, I felt interning under the athletic department and learning the intricacies of game day preparation and marketing of the athletic department would help me gain the knowledge of becoming an athletic director for a university or front office of the NBA or NFL.

Classroom Connection• Classroom connection is the involvement of

University of Louisiana-Monroe and the elementary schools of our area to instill values and positive traits in our young children. The children look up to our collegiate athletes as role models, and we use that as a tool to inspire the children to do well in school and overall, become responsible young men and women. Carina Craighead as well as myself will spearhead the program with the involvement of our student-athletes mentoring the young children.
