ECF case examples:Abu Dhabi–Finland Educational Partnership Finnish educational practices were piloted 2010–2015 in two Abu Dhabi primary schools as part of a partnership programme with the Abu Dhabi Education Council. From 2016 onwards, the programme has been based in one major school in Al Ain.
Qatar–Finland International School The first Finnish International School in Doha, Qatar, opened in 2014 at the request of the Qatar Supreme Education Council. In 2016–2017 the school has almost 600 students and a teaching team of 30 teachers qualified in Finland.
Vietnam–Finland International SchoolThis all-through premium school concept is developed in 2017 to create a purpose-designed international school which will be opened in 2018 for 2,500 students.The concept includes teacher education for Vietnamese teachers at the University of Jyväskylä.
Shanghai, ChinaLong-term cooperation on continuing in-service training for Shanghai teachers and principals continues through 2017 with the University of Jyväskylä as an official overseas training centre.
