Managers, student athletic trainers, and cheerleaders: These students should ride the bus with the

team. If they will be arriving separately, they will only be admitted if in uniform and with a coach.

Bus and Administration Parking: Visiting varsity team buses, as well as band and cheerleader buses, will

enter campus using the stadium entrance and then enter the stadium to drop off teams at the south end

of the track before parking along the fence. Visiting administration will be issued parking passes to park

inside the stadium, along with officials and media. Please email a list of administrators attending the

varsity game to the Athletic Director, Jason Barnard, by Wednesday before the game to have passes sent

to the visiting Athletic Director.

Spectator Parking: Spectators will park in the stadium parking lot.

Prohibited Items: University High School, as with all campuses in Orange County Public Schools, is a

smoke free campus. Smoking, use of electronic cigarettes, or use of any tobacco products are prohibited

anywhere on campus. Other items not allowed at our athletic events include glass bottles, coolers,

drinks without lids, alcoholic beverages, weapons, artificial noise makers, sticks, chains, illegal

substances, laser pointers, fireworks, aerosol cans, pets, pepper spray, clothing with inappropriate

language, or any other items deemed to be considered inappropriate by the school administration or

Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Visitor Seating: Visitor seating is on the west side of the stadium for all visitors. Restrooms and

concessions are located near the entrance of the stadium.

Visitor Team Locker Room: The visiting team locker room is the north locker room located in the field

house under the home seating side of the stadium. This will be made available upon request and during

inclement weather.

Rosters: Please email a complete roster to the athletic director by Wednesday before the game.

Sportsmanship: Demonstration of proper sportsmanship is an expectation of all participating in an

athletic event at University High School. Please refrain from any inappropriate behavior or language

that could be considered as offensive to fellow spectators, officials, coaches, student-athletes, or school

staff. Anything deemed as inappropriate could result in immediate dismissal from the event. Respect

the game and the participants of the game.

Inclement Weather: University High School utilizes the Telvent Weather Sentry Sports Monitoring

systems for dangerous weather at all outdoor athletic events. Our administrators, athletic trainers, and

coaches all have access to and will receive warnings of incoming lightning. When the warning comes

that lightning is within an 8 mile radius of the event, the contest will be suspended immediately. All

student-athletes, staff, and spectators must relocate to a safe location. The public address announcer

will give instructions to evacuate the playing area and spectators should go to their personal vehicle or

to the gym to remain until the warning is lifted. In case of severe weather, the cheerleaders and Athletic

Trainers will report to the Athletic Training Room; the visiting team will go to the North locker room in

the Field House; the home team will go to the South locker room in the field house; both bands will go

to the PAC/Band Room. The OCPS 30-30 rule will be followed to determine when it is safe to resume the

contest.
