GREETINGS FROM UNIVERSITI TENAGA NASIONAL ! We are pleased to inform you that our Careers Unit will be organizing a career fair. The details of the program are as follows:

UNITEN, has been organizing the annual career fair at the Putrajaya campus for the past 7 years. Further, in its quest for generating top class professionals and quality graduates to participating organizations; which has worked hand in hand to employ our young graduates, the Career Services Unit has taken initiatives to organize a one month event, the UNITEN Career Carnival 2009 (CC'09). The Carnival will be held from the 2nd to the 25th February with a theme of "So You Think You Can Work?" and divided to 3 stages, "Ready?", "Set.." and "Go!" each with the aim to fine tune the skills and abilities of graduates to bettter meet companies’ expectations. In conjunction with the CC'09, we seek your active participation either by taking up a booth or sponsoring at the CC’09. All funds will be used to upgrade and enhance the career services mission to prepare graduates to face the challeging and demanding work force. The committee has introduced simple sponsorship packages for your convenience. In addition, the sponsorship will allow your organization to participate at the career carnival to promote your organization to students visiting the fair and also enjoy the benefits as a CC' 09 sponsor.

Hydro Hydro is the production of power through the usage of the gravitational force of falling or flowing water. It is the most widely used form of renewable energy. Once a hydroelectric complex is constructed, the project produces no direct waste.

Solar Solar power is sometimes used as a synonym for solar energy or more specifically to refer to electricity generated from solar radiation. Solar radiation accounts for most of the available flow of renewable energy on Earth.

Wind

Wind power is the conversion of wind energy into electricity using wind turbines. This type of power generation method uses one of the renewable energy on earth however it needs constant wind flow.

Tidal Tidal power, or wave power is the transport of energy by ocean surface waves, and the capture of that energy to do useful work although not yet widely used, tidal power has potential for future electricity generation. Tides are more predictable than wind energy and solar power. Tidal energy is a renewable energy source.

Steam A steam turbine is a mechanical device that extracts thermal energy from pressurized steam, and converts it into useful mechanical work such as electricity. It has almost completely replaced the reciprocating piston steam engine primarily because of its greater thermal efficiency.

Fuel Fuel powered power plant uses an unrenewable source of energy which is fuel oil as a source to produce electricity. The disadvantage of using fuel is, it produces high level of carbon monoxide and heat in its emission.

Biomass Biomass refers to living and recently dead biological material that can be used as fuel or for industrial production. Most commonly, biomass refers to plant matter grown to generate electricity or produce biofuel, but it also includes plant or animal matter used for production of fibers, chemicals or heat. Biomass may also include biodegradable wastes that can be burnt as fuel.
