Fasten the bottom insert into the post using two1 1/2” screws as illustrated.

Tip:You may need to pre-drillthe post and internal pipeanchor when securing the

bottom insert as illustrated.

Determine the cut angle of your rails.

STEP 1Center the bottom rail across the top

of both posts as illustrated.

STEP 2Mark the underside of the rail against the post to

determine desired cut line.

Use either a circular saw or a compound miter saw as illustrated to bevelthe end of the rails to the desired angle.

STEP 3Cut the rail on the desired line using a circular power saw

or a compound circular saw as illustrated below

Sleep your bottom rail on the foot block portionof the insert and using 2” screws, fasten the rail

to the insert and post as illustrated.

After installing your vertical boards or picketsfasten the top insert into the posts using two

1 1/2” screws as illustrated.

Tip:You can center the smaller rails (3 1/2” wide)on the top insert or move the rail all the way

to the top or bottom as illustrated. Follow the same steps as thebottom rail to miter and secure

the top rail to the insert.
