The Hines House is one of the best local examples of the two-story modified L-plan dwelling. It retains much of its original fabric and picturesque massing. E. H. Hines, who listed his occupation as •armer, built the house and owned it until the iate 1930s when contractor T. F. Timmins purchased the dwelling.
