Definition of the Unique Landscape Values

According to the Act LIII. Of 1996, Unique Landscape
Values (ULVs) are representative attributes of a
landscape, which have
- natural,
- historical,
- cultural-historical,
- scientific,
- or aesthetic significance.
Surveying Unique Landscape Values

Surveying, categorizing and deciding on the future
treatment of the ULVs is the duty of the Directorates of
Natural Protection.
Since these institutions lackingresources to perform this task, Ihave decided to conduct thisprocess voluntarily in the planningarea of my Masters Thesis.
The Target Area of the Survey

I surveyed ULVs in
nine settlements
with a total area of
9205 hectares.
The examintions have been performed in accordance with the
restrictions of the standard ‚MSZ 20381:2009’
The Outcome

As result, 277 Unique Landscape Values have been
enumerated, classified
and documented.

As the former assistant of the department of Landscape
Planning and Regonal Development, I have been a
committed contributor of its project called „TÉKA”
Hence I have contributed to their workwith making my data available for thespatially enabled internet application of the project
