School Activity Hall on Thursday, 9

May, 2019. In Junior Group classes 6 to 8

and in Senior Category classes 9 to 12

competed to outwit each other for the Top

Spots. Mixed Bag, Rapid Fire, Buzzer

and Pictorial rounds were there along

with on the spot innovation laced

negative marking to increase the

challenge and excitement of the entire

"game of mind" which all the

participants as well as spectators liked

and applauded. In the Junior Category

Aryabhatta House stole the show

pushing Ashoka n Buddha Houses to the nd rd

2 & 3 spots respectively. And in Senior

Quiz Chanakya House was the clear

leader from the very beginning and nd

The swimming champs of the Delhi Public School, Gaya have made the school proud with their excellent

ndperformance in 42 Bihar State Junior / Sub-Junior Swimming Championship-2019 organized by Bihar Swimming Association, Patna affiliated to Swimming Federation of India & Olympic Association. 24 events were set for the boys and girls in 5 different categories. Rudra Bhushan of Class VI acquired 3 gold and 2 silver medals; Vidit Mandilwar of Class VI secured 3 silver and 1 bronze; Shivam Sharma of Class VI achieved 2 silver medals in Sub-Junior Category Group - 3. In Group 4 and 5, Owaish Khan of Class III successfully bagged 2 Gold and 1 silver; Shivansh Triyank of Class V got 2 gold and 1 bronze; Sanvi Ranjan of class II proved herself by acquiring 3 gold medals; Manaswi Mandilwar of Class II gracefully showed her caliber by securing 1 silver medal. From Junior Category, Anurag Kumar Kaushal of Class IX won 1 silver medal ; Sharown

Kumar Singh of Class VII made the day by earning 2 silver and 2 bronze medals from Group -2. In addition to this, Vaibhav Mishra of Class IX, Ayushman Singh of Class VI, Anushka Sharma of Class VII, Samridhi Sinha of Class VI enthusiastically participated in the State Level Swimming Championship. Hon. Pro- Vice Chairman, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar and Principal, Sanjeet Soni felicitated the students in the presence of the swimming coaches, Mr. Abhijeet Chauhan( NIS Trained), Mr. Mannu Kumar Rana, Miss. Ayantika Ghosh Dutta by extending the best wishes for their prosperous and illustrious future. DPS, Gaya believes in setting the goal of life by making it a dream come true.

“Books Are The

To The World”Windows

With the motive to empower the children with the most precious gift of education, Delhi Public School, Gaya has donated more than thousand books to the disadvantaged children of the society through Charitable Book Bank / Library

of Rotary Club of Gaya. The President, Rotary Club of Gaya, Rotarian Priye Ranjan Dwyer praised the effort of the school and expressed his heartfelt appreciation for this generous gesture and sought the same assistance in the future too.

Taekwondo Federation of India had nd

organised the WT G-1 2 India Open

International Championship, attended

by more than 3000 athletes from 22

countries from all over the globe in a

fabulously glittering gathering of ability,

agility, timing and perfection. Aura of

experts and coaches, performers and

functionaries and the glamour of arc

lights and TV cameraswere all present in

their ominousness which made the

performing group of 5 students from DPS

– Gaya feel enthused and attempt their

best. Aditi, Karan, Rohit, Anshu and

Saurav had been coached, guided and

accompanied by our Taekwondo Coach

Mr. Chandeshwar Kumar who is also the

Joint Treasurer of TFI. Ms. Aditi

Senapati won Silver Medal in her under

59 Kg. Cadet Girl’s Category which is in a

way the highest ever performance till

date of the girl as well as the school at the

International Level. This win makes

Aditi eligible to partake in the Cadet

World Taekwondo Championship – 2019

YOGA is Your Own Great Alignment. If you want one purely holistic exercise regimen for the mind as well as the body you have only one solid choice and that is Yoga. Yoga is all about adding one's energies and synchronization of all the life forces. International Yoga Day is

st celebrated on 21 June every year in around 200 countries of the world since 2015. Here at DPS - Gaya we celebrated the day with great fanfare in the newly constructed Indoor Multi Purpose Auditorium between 7:30 am and 9:15 am. Yoga Teachers Mr. Chandan and Ms. Anuradha led all the staff members during the session. Some of the young guns among the teachers presented a well choreographed display of " merger of yoga postures n dance" which enthralled one and all. If cleansing of soul is a goal.....Yoga really is the sole scrubbing agent. Honourable Principal Mr. Sanjeet Soni encouraged all with his spirited words and thanked everyone for their participation. Day's programme ended with some fabulous and healthy "inter vention" for the hunger n thirst of all.

Flower crown making activity “You are

Special” was conducted on 28.06.2019

(Friday) in class I. Importance of flowers

were discussed with students. Through

this activity, the fine motor skill and

tactile sense of students were developed.

After wearing crown, we made our

students feel like princes and princesses.

Students participated in the activity with

great zeal and enthusiasm, under the

supervision of their respective teachers.

DPS Gaya, the students pursuing Taekwondo and Mr. Chandeshwar...The school team coach all have become "synonymous" with "Success" as far as Winning Medals and Laurels is concerned in any geography of this vast

thnation. The time span between 27 June th& 29 June, 2019 again became and

remained witness at the Indoor Stadium, Fort Area, Munger when DPS Gaya stalwarts of Taekwondo cornered 2 Gold n Silver Medals in the 31st Bihar State Championship... Aditi, Jiya, Rohit and Karan really dezerve all the kudos n accolades.. Hope...The grand gala run would never cease to add glitter, glory and fun to the DPS Gaya kitty.

An Inter-House Maths Quiz Competition was conducted for the students of classes

thIII to V on 11 July 2019. The objective of conducting the quiz competition was to enable students to think out of the box, promote term play, improving their knowledge and learning from the their counterpar t s , bes ides bu i ld ing competitive spirit among team.
