Greeting Friends, As I was reflecting and thinking about July 4 th and the freedom we have gained because of those who have laid down their lives for us I could not help but think about John 15:13, Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. This verse has a two -part meaning. The first part is the great sacrifice that God did for us when he sent his Son to the cross so that we could live for an eternity! It is because of this great sac- rifice that we have our freedom, which is only found in Christ. When I think about this concept, the chorus word from “The Solid Rock”, comes to mind. On Christ the solid rock I stand. All other ground is sinking sand, All other ground is sinking sand! The second part is the great sacrifice that our military and armed forces make for us. Our country would not be what it is today if it were not for the men and women who have made this sacrifice for us! So be sure to stop and shake a hand of a veteran to show them your appreciation! Thank you to our veter- ans you have blessed us with a great sacrifice! May God richly bless America!!!! Holding you in the life!
